I am over 50, clapping for the educators who want to teach kids how to avoid the clap (See? Who even calls it that except us old geezers?)
I see no evidence that society is collapsing because students know the words, "penis, vagina, testicles, vulva, Fallopian tubes, uterus, anus, urethra, ovaries, cervix, or prostate." In fact, lack of education is almost always the downfall of societies. Knowing the correct anatomical words takes away some of the mystery of it. If kids know how these organs function and their proper names, they become about as interesting as their elbow. If you make it seem off limits, they're much more likely to make a big deal out of it.

First off, I am a Moderate, age 47. I really don't see what age has to do with this topic.
Second of all, I was raised by an engineer, so logic-based thinking and dealing with cold hard facts were the mainstay in the household, rather than emotional, pearl-clutching mystical religious nonsense.
My favorite book as a kid in the 70s/80s was a Medical Encyclopedia. Pretty sure I knew more about the human reproductive, skeletal, muscular, circulatory and respiratory system at age 8 than any of my teachers did lol.
Shame how times have changed...backwards, apparently.
I love this! We underestimate the intelligence of children and some of us view everything through our older, corrupted minds.
Nor should you have complete control of what my children should be taught.
Why don’t you just opt out? Isn’t that an option for you?
I want my children, and now my grandchildren taught the same stuff I was taught in the public schools in the 1960s.

I'm way past 45 and you're correct that I applaud a good education. Society isn't going to collapse because a kid knows the proper terms for the reproductive system.
