Gu wouldn't be catching nearly as much flack had she joined the Chinese team because she felt she couldn't make the US squad
Well is Jeremy a stain for all the white Americans?

This is something so prevalent that everyone forgets that Marcell Jacob’s did the same thing last year at the Tokyo Olympics and won the 100 m as well. It’s obvious that this is motivated by anti-Asian bid because any serious fan of a sports knows this is a common thing and has been happening increasingly for decades. Soccer players especially of immigrant descent routinely have 2-4 nationalities that they can represent and many of them do not choose America.

Gu was asked that and wouldn't answer the question.

My other points all stand as unaddressed or avoided.

So a guy that grew up in Italy from the age of a few months old and whom ran for Italy is your comparison point?

A FIBA rule allows countries to tap players with dual citizenships or a player who becomes a naturalized citizen. Several players at the Tokyo Games are taking advantage of the rule, including former UConn forward Gabby Williams, whose mother is French, is playing for France. Astou Ndour, born in Senegal, went to Spain to play basketball and became a Spanish citizen in 2011.

Nigeria’s roster is filled with players who honed their games at American colleges and now represent the country of their parents.

It is really not a big deal. Neither one of them is a traitor. Not a big deal.

He a professional hockey play who is currently playing for a Chinese team, it is very natural for him to play on the China Olympic team.

Why do you keep referencing "white America"? If he was a stain on America wouldn't it be for all Americans?

No. Because white Americans have American values of individual freedom. We're all rebels. We don't conform to the group. That whole "stain on the group" thing is Chinese values.

Foxnews is calling Gu ungrateful. Shouldn't Jeremy get the same treatment?

Not sure I would use ungrateful. Opportunists, both of them. Not like they have done something illegal

1. If Gu had no chance at a medal like Jeremy, nobody would be having this conversation.

2. Information has been released (her own sponsor) that she dropped her US citizenship and when asked she won't answer the question.

Now sure, if you ignore both of these things it's practically an apples to apples comparison.
