If it is natural for there to be differences in outcomes. Then when should there be laws against discrimination that can shape those disparities and differences between people?
No. I won't get into why. The answer is obvious. Progressives live in a fantasy world. It's not even as much of a racial thing as it is cultural. When you have a culture that pushes people for perfection like say the Chinese, you can have lots of achievers. When you have a culture that makes excuses for people and tells them they are victims, they are never going to get anywhere.
The average black 12th grader has the same reading comprehension as the average white 8th grader.
The left's response is to live in a fantasy world and remove the tests for being racist and then oppress Asians and whites with systemic racism.
Until black students leaving high school read at an adult level, you can't expect them to achieve at the same rate as the most successful race in the US, Asians.
Racial outcomes do not exist. They are yet another government construct used to divide the public and cause strife. Outcomes are determined largely by the individual, the content of their character, their behavior/interactions in this world, etc.
The reality is, we all have the same outcome, eventually. So lets enjoy the time while we are here above the ground, instead of allowing the government to pervert our reality and bring us down.
If there was as much emphasis on civic duty and making contributions to society as opposed to unlawful protesting, then yes I believe we could narrow the achievement gap.
No one should expect equality of outcomes because humans are on a spectrum of ability, although it would be reasonable to investigate the causes of differences to determine if there are actions that can improve the situation. The equality piece should be focused more on opportunity, availability of education, etc. with programs in place to help overcome low socioeconomic factors that contribute to bad outcomes. It costs more to educate the poor, because poor parents often lack the intelligence, knowledge, or will to help their kids do better.
