Exactly.

I voted yes kind of as a joke because the rising crime is certainly a big problem but the vast majority of city dwellers are decent people that do not deserve to be locked down.

Locking down a city like NY or LA reminds me of the "Escape from..." movies.

Maybe that is what we need, a city that is walled off where we can drop all the criminals into.

If you mess up 3 times you are sent to the penal colony.

The answer to all of this is an easy one. Prosecute and lock up the Criminals. Why is this such a odd concept for the Democrat elected?

I agree that there are worse places than NYC.

More importantly, it's not my problem. That's up to NYC or Tulsa or *whatever* voters.

Clearly some places have surging violence due to a variety of factors including policing and ironically the people bearing the brunt of this pain are poorer minorities....but it's being labeled as progress.

It wasn't Long Island,..lol,.....

It was Manhattan.

Although, with as much thuggery and violent criminality today, we could probably fill something as huge as Long Island.

I think we should close all the bridges and turn it into a democrat paradise, like in "Escape from New York".

All the libs could move there and enjoy a city with no police and rule by warlords and live the liberal dream.

It does seem as though the city was more worried about COVID Deaths than they are criminal deaths...

And who on here was saying COVID was not political???

People are stupid!

NYC knows how to deal with the violence. We just elected a bunch of worthless Democrat machine hacks who don't have the balls to do what they know needs to be done.
