The problem with having sex is that 10 - 20 years later a woman will change her mind and decide it was rape. Then you lose your job your friends your money and possibly your freedom. Is it worth the risk? Especially when porn is free and abundant.

Anyone surprised? I’m not. In today’s hook up culture, I would especially not be surprised if more and more men are deciding marriage isn’t something they need in life.
By the table presented. I could make one up showing the exact opposite.
Got a link to the actual survey; questions, number surveyed, details, etc.?
I'm not sure what having less sex has to do with men deciding marriage isnt something needed. According to one article I had to link to link to link to, fewer people are marrying, people as in men and women, but are cohabiting or dating.
Less sex. It would seem on average people have less free time, people suffer more stress, people take more prescriptions, drink more and we have an aging population. Studies also show a general decrease in testosterone levels of men. There are more openly homosexuals and transgenders and people in general meet others virtually through apps instead of in person. All this would lead to less sex.
Are people forgetting that prior to the sexual revolution of 1960 people did not have as much sex based on attitudes, taboos and social norms. Technically from 1960-1990 the amount of sex people had was a giant increase. Perhaps now we are just going back to what was normal.
We could site the same for marriage rates along with the fact that it is no longer necessary for women to marry to survive.

Whacking off to images is no substitute for the release of oxytocin that comes from an intimate relationship... the post sex cuddling next to someone you "care about" ... it might be short term and maybe she loses interest in a month so then go find another one.
Not worried about a false rape accusation. She wouldn't try it on me. That said for a lot of men they simply don't have the confidence and social skills to achieve a LTR these days, but getting sex is easy enough with a bit of self discipline when it comes to diet and daily habits.
If society is going to the sewer, it's because people are losing the sense of connectedness and don't have the number of friends they need to sustain healthy releases of oxytocin on a regular basis, which causes them to get angry and bitter. When choosing to incarnate as this species, got to deal with it's genetic urges. Kind of like a "When in Rome" thing.

Not worried about a false rape accusation because I do have a killer instinct within me... she wouldn't try anything like that, if she really valued her life that is.
I'm sure it's worse in 2022 with rent, food and everyday expenses going into the stratosphere. Most young people can't even afford to go on a date, much less get married and have a kid. With the birthrate diving into the negative, there won't be enough workers to support the retirees and the entire population deficit will snowball into a crisis. Just add that to all the other crises this country faces.
It would be nice if we could have artificial simulations so close to the real thing that you couldn't tell the difference. It would make life easier. Chuckle. A lot of people can't put up with one another over the long term... so think the TV show "Humans." haha.

Perhaps CNN or those at UC Berkeley doing the survey could provide you with more in-depth details.
Whatever the reasons — less and less people are wanting marriage:
Philip Cohen, a sociology professor at the University of Maryland, says, "Women's independence and gender equality is a huge factor in the long-term decline in marriage."
There has also been a rise in men's rights groups such as Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW) and the Manosphere, where men in droves complain about men's unfair treatment in relationships and family courts. They're tired of being brow-beaten by women and the gender bias laws against men. For this reason, millions of men don't want to get married and are opting out of marriage altogether.
Men Avoid Marriage Because It’s Too Risky and Too Costly
Men are not marrying because, for many men, the rewards for getting married are far less than they used to be, while the cost and dangers of it are far higher.
Divorce rates are sky-high: 45% of marriages end in divorce, and women initiate 80% of them.
I'm sure the Democrat Debbie sex doll, complete with blue hair and ill fitting grungy clothing upgrade, would be a big seller LOL!
