Most of those protesters aren't even truckers. They're being paid to create trouble and create more havoc in the economy.
CBC News is reporting tonight that truckers are leaving Coutts by tomorrow because their protest has been taken over by political extremists. It showed truckers shaking hands with police as they’re preparing to leave. (No link to share, live news on my TV a few moments ago.)
”The government could bar travel to or from specific areas - from Parliament Hill or major border crossings, for example. It could order the evacuation of people and personal property from certain areas, possibly using this power to clear out congested areas of protesters. And it could direct individuals and companies to render essential services, perhaps ordering tow-truck companies to lend their services and clear the roads of demonstrators and their vehicles.”
^This sounds like what will happen. Some tow truck companies refused to tow the vehicles when asked. They can now be ordered to remove any protesters vehicles.
I am not sure you know what the term "banana republic" means.
Okay, soy republic? How about just dictatorship because the little twit refuses to accept that people don’t agree with him? COVID is over people. The last variant was as mild as a common cold for most people, and people who were vaccinated were catching and spreading it.
Your firearms could be taken away from you very easily, if the gov't wanted to.
You go to get your driver's license renewed. if you don't turn in your firearms, your license won't be renewed.
Your bank accounts are frozen, can't access them. Rewards of $1k to those that squeal on those that have unregistered firearms in their possession. You will no longer get your social security check if you don't turn them in.
Lots of ways to do it.
Canada doesn't have a 2nd amendment.
People there have to trust the government to be nice and treat them fairly.
If the government in Canada decides not to, there isn't much the Canadian people can do about it.
The ONLY way Freedom Convoy will succeed is when the police and the military will either side with it in reasonable majority or, refuse to act against it, again, in reasonable majority. Otherwise, protesters will be simply crushed. Even if they do so, there is a neighbor down south that cna easily extend helpful hand to Mr Trudeau.
Until THE FORCE sides with protesters, it is all in vane and destined to lose. Be crushed, end in jail and so on.
Cool accusation. Tell me how its wrong and can be easily knocked down given its funny to me.
