The word “freedom” has always been a political weasel word. It can mean anything including it’s exact opposite, depending on the details.

For example, should I have the freedom to take away someone else’s freedom if I have the means to do so?

At least make them build something useful....maybe they should be set to build nuclear power plants on reclaimed land off the coast of something.

They always have.

They are uninterested in actual freedom... except for themselves. Freedom merely gets in the way of how they want to control normal people.
Ohhhh. Finally I understand why the left don't like freedom. That makes sense.

huh.. like 'defund the police'?

It's like the Nevada University kids who demand the choice of wearing a mask or not be removed. They aren't losing a damned thing by there being a choice, they can wear one or two or four. Similarly, the truckers aren't saying anyone can't get vaccinated, they want the freedom of choice. That choice would have exactly zero impact on anyone wanting a vaccine jab.

If you wanted to find a argument for "the left sucks at the English language" this right there should be page 1. The left said "defund the police" and everyone thought that mean reducing the funding of policing. Which is NOT the original intent. The argument was to move money spent on police into subsidiary support services that reduce the need for regular police to show up. The right turned that into the left wants anarchy and for you to be unsafe, when actually the opposite was the intent.

To make it even worse some folks on the left ALSO thought this was the intent and tried to reduce police budgets

The sheer amount of stupidity on all sides of this was amazing.

Freedom isn't free. There are MANY countries that are freer than ours.

Instead of crying, how about the right start treating "Democracy" as a dog whistle?

I might like AOC overall, that doesn't mean she isn't wrong sometimes either.
