Airlines are publicly funded so they should be subject to this kind of legislation

Any disruptive passenger that disrupts any flight and endangers flight attendants should be banned. Yet another attempt to block anything that addresses Covid by right wing congressmen. This is a dumb reaction to sensible legislation. They aren't being treated as terrorists, just banned because they can't adhere to flight regulations, don't like the rules then don't fly.

Good. There are already laws under which these people can be prosecuted. If found guilty, they receive a sentence. No need for childish "they should never be allowed to fly again" BS -- especially when it's the federal government doing it. There could have been felons on the last plane you or I was on, and you know what, who cares? They're free men and women now, so they should be treated that way.

Too bad so sad. Airlines can run their own shop when they stop taking taxpayer money.

Meh, Democrats have worked hard over the past few years to reclassify various types of crime and virtually eliminate consequences for other types of crime, so I see no reason why disruptive passengers should be singled out.

To me, the correlation between disruptive passengers and terrorists is kind of a stretch. I don't know of anyone that would equate those two things.

Being a PITA airline passenger doesn't make one a terrorist, but causing a flight to divert or make an emergency landing because of unruly behavior should put you on a no-fly list for sure.

Not many people will think you're a terrorist because of that, but plenty will think you're an idiot, and rightfully so.

Ban them for life. Probably more of a deterrent than jail time.

Great idea, until having a low social credit score gets you put into the terrorist camp.
