Uh, the stimulus was passed by Congress (which includes Republicans). Don't be an idiot.

Biden apologists would like us all to forget that Trump had America in a state of energy independence for the first time in decades and Biden (who ran on a platform of reducing fossil fuel use) reversed that in his first week with executive orders ending new leases for petroleum, ending the pipeline, and a pledge to curtail fossil fuel use while studying its impact on climate change. He did everything he could short of banning oil and gas production outright..

Of course this had an effect on global oil prices because OPEC knew they had us over a barrel. Corporations seized on the momentum Bidens trigger provided..

Democrats WANTED this. They believe if you make gasoline expensive they will save the planet.

Stop bullshytting us that anything other than this went down.

So, seriously, Avondalist, just where the hell did you get this FALSE idea that Biden placed a ban on drilling on public land leases?
I dunno maybe because he did all that and more. Where have you been?

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/27/bide...series-of.html

President Joe Biden on Wednesday signed a series of executive orders that prioritize climate change across all levels of government and put the U.S. on track to curb planet-warming carbon emissions.
Biden's orders direct the secretary of the Interior Department to halt new oil and natural gas leases on public lands and waters, and begin a thorough review of existing permits for fossil fuel development.
The series of actions kick off the president's agenda to reduce the country's emissions and establish stricter targets under the Paris climate accord.

Anyone who doesnt realize just the order itself would have a direct effect on energy prices, from world crude prices to the pump, virtually overnight, shouldnt be allowed to vote.

Regardless, fair or not...the midterms are going to look like a scene from a documentary on how to make sausage.
The Brandon Administration is the most dishonest in my lifetime. The man took a hard left turn immediately after winning as a moderate.

The inflated stock market is not much different than handing out welfare checks. QE money props up the S&P500. Pop the bubble and let stocks drop by 50% to traditional valuations. Suck up the excess liquidity, and home prices will fall also so the working class can afford them. Easy monetary policy benefits the top the most.

The overreaction to the pandemic is still having ripple effects in the supply chain to this day and will continue to do so through 2023. Corporations scaled back too much and many are hesitant to expand capacity... they simply charge more with longer lead times.

None of these elites want to do anything to stop the proliferation of home buying by wealthy individuals and corporations.

None of these leaders want to do anything about zoning regulations that stifle new construction of both single family and multi unit housing.

People are living longer and staying in their homes to an older age.

A combination of problems caused this current situation, much of it inept policy that is across the board from top down to city councils.

There are more government welfare parasites than ever before. Non contributing people who take up housing and rental stock put pressure on the middle who have to pay higher prices due to lower supply.

We still have the deep state swamp trash shuffling around immigrants under our noses and against our wishes. That takes away housing and rental stock.

There's a lot of small things that when you add up caused all this to happen. There's also a small segment of powerful people that seemingly wants to destroy traditional "white" values in the US. They want the government raising any kids you do have and indoctrinating them with their dogma, not fathers.
Much of this destructive behaviour by democrats makes little sense without the context of "the great reset".

Yes they want this. At least for all us little people, and the sick thing is they think theyre saving the world doing it. While lining their own pockets. Covid, Climate Change, runaway inflation, illegal immigration, all events to capitalize on and seize power for progressive globalists.

The Washington Post is literally propaganda for the left.

Biden helped increase the cost of gas by shutting down the pipeline's construction making many big users mass buy for fears of future supply shortages as that pipe was seen as essential to the future supply line.

Biden also shutdown several productive wells very early on.

After our senile president did the two things above and gas prices started to rise he then massively started approving new drilling locations ticking off the green movement and begged foreigners to produce more and approved of Putin's pipeline.

Cause and effect.

Gas prices are the same. President RARELY has any effect-and yet everyone blames them or tries to praise them. Ive even had some fun pointing out when Bidens gas prices were lower at points, but even in those I often point out its nonsense. UNLESS you can point to a specific mistake and why.

We sent everyone checks. Was that a mistake? Did it contribute to inflation? Or did it make it so a TON of people made it through some rough times. As such was it worth it? And How MUCH did it add to it?

Its a complex topic thats neigh impossible to discuss with most folks.
Gas prices are the same..where in heck do you live? They are a lot higher where I live, gas for heating and cooking has gone up and that’s entirely related to Biden he shut down pipelines, etc.

Its foolish to blame everything on any one person or president. A primary cause of inflation is supply and demand which has been affected by COVID. Its not all COVID either. There are some taking advantage of the pandemic to line their own pockets. This includes businesses and politicians at every level. The real issue is to find core problems and fix them instead of fighting each other, blocking highways, getting POed about masks etc.
