A very peculiar aspect of liberals is their hatred and fear of anything Russian, yet fail to perceive China as a significant threat to the US, both economically and militarily.

Russia has a GDP less than California, and it's military is a shell of that in the former USSR. While Russia has undergone a recent modernization of their military, Russia is quite weak compared to China with regard to its military and economy.

Despite the obvious difference in threats presented to the US, liberals always fear Russia and liberal politicians sabre rattle about military action against Russia.

Ironically, many of the very same liberal politicians are on the Chinese payroll and fail to make any statements regarding Chinese genocide, humanitarian atrocities, military threat to its neighbors, and unfair trade practices.

One wonders how someone could be completely 180 degrees wrong in evaluating a threat to the US. However, there are liberal political and economic reasons to do so. China has no problem bribing US politicians and many have active investments in China, but not Russia. Additionally, The Ukraine is a well known money laundering location for liberal politicians, thus it is important for them to maintain and hide their bribes.

So.................................... from a FACTUAL basis, can any lib tell me how one could perceive Russia as a greater threat than China?

I've been seeing liberals calling out China's human rights, intellectual property, and labor abuses for decades...

Why does a Conservative always assume it must be the other side when they have no problem with taking advantage of the business opportunities that China has presented.

Hate is a strong word, but I don't trust either and I am a liberal. A classical liberal.

Both a military threat, China is our economy . We get mostly everything from China. We are economically bankrupt. That is why we are 30 trillion dollars in debt. No tax base. No industry supporting our tax base. We have become a welfare state and many illegals come for the benefits. Free housing, free food, free lodging in hotels, free medical care. All Americans are handed the bill.

Russia has Satan 2 missiles which can travel anywhere and fit 18 nuclear war heads on each. 5 Satan 2's can take out the whole east coast, or one can take out all of Texas. Putin has built extensive bomb shelters also. PUtin is getting ready for nuclear war.

Once China invades a neighboring country, let us know.
Once China is proven to interfere in our elections, let us know.
Then maybe we'll reconsider who is the bigger threat.

That is such utter BS.

You need to read Russian history and understand the current military capabilities of Russia. The Russians are masters at bluffing and would be completely wiped off the planet- they know it and we know it.

Somehow, like in the Cold War, you have grossly over estimated the military might of Russia. Perhaps you should read a biography on Krushchev and understand how the Soviets had bluffed the US into believing they were a viable and perpetual threat.

The paranoia about invasion from the west was strong in the USSR, as it is in Russia. In 1983, Russia was convinced that the US was going to launch a nuclear first strike. Due to our top spy in the KGB, US anti-Russian rhetoric was curbed, as the Russians were convinced a war was imminent.

Russia has been invaded from the West so many times that Russian fear of the west is drilled into the psyche of all Russians, and for good reason.

I haven't seen anything to suggest the basic premise of your thread title has any basis in fact.
