Two things Trump would have done to keep Putin from planning and executing this;

1) Not shut down the Keystone.

2) Not telegraphed his every thought and move.
“Minor incursion OK “
Removed Hold on the Russian Pipeline.

That ser it all in motion.

This is what happens you install a demented, corrupt fool into the White House.

This is why our enemies always want idiots like Obama and Biden in the White House, as they know they can advance their agendas. They would never have tried it with Trump in office.
“At this point, what difference does it make “
Reality is that the entire World has to DEAL with it.

Sounds good. Trying to think of the last time that actually worked. 1962?

So yesterday I responded by explaining why continuing the pipeline would not have had any impact on this. Of course my post was deleted by the moderator. Just as every one of my posts on this thread was deleted (6 in all). Why? We’re not allowed to rebut any point made by a conservative on this forum?

I also posted a message asking Republicans, who are using this thread to bash Biden’s response to Putin, what exactly they think he should be doing. Is that not relevant to the discussion? Is it not a perfectly legitimate question? Deleted.

Putin has TeamBiden and Europe over a Barrel. The War on US Oil/Gas, shut down US Pipelines, Green Light to Russian Pipelines …. has empowered Putin. TeamBiden needs to Ramp up US Production like last week - it would also help a lot if TeamBiden took Putin seriously, which they don’t.

With Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine, a New Cold War Arrives
U.S. and European sanctions are still too weak against Putin. - WSJ

US Treasury Department

WOW! These “severe Sanctions” start in a Month. Can’t get much more serious than that.
Some are not even “new”, they are 2014 leftovers.
Mr. Biden said the U.S. will impose full blocking sanctions on a Russian military bank and VEB, the state development corporation. It is also cutting off Moscow from Western financing through sanctions on Russian sovereign debt. But the fine print in the Treasury announcement Tuesday said the ban applies only to debt issued by Russia after March 1. It appears previously issued debt can still trade in secondary markets.

All Russian financial institutions deserve to be cut off from the outside world, and their dollar transactions restricted, until Russia withdraws from Ukrainian territory. The new sanctions on Russian elites look weak in targeting Putin cronies already on the sanctions list, though their sons are newly designated.

The Sanctions Europe are imposing are WEAK, but not as WEAK as the TeamBiden Sanctions. Even Politico calls them “amuse-bouche“(a taste). Bloomberg says they are WEAK.

Many of the so called sanctions have been in force for many years after Crimea. Putin senses weakness and wokeness as the Achilles of America. Putin knows climate change ideology works to his advantage. He sees the idiocy of destroying the fossil industry in America as an advantage. Biden gave him this gift and encouragement to invade and make Russian richer and more powerful. The price of oil is high and helping to pay for the cost of the invasion. It is unbelievable that an American President is helping a tyrant to start a war and kill thousands of innocents. As long as the price of oil remains high, sanctions will not bite.

As long as the US is buying Russian Oil, the Sanctions will not bite.
As long as TeamBiden continues their War on US Oil/Gas, we are sending Putin $$$ for his War on Ukraine

If you are not concerned that our nuclear weapons and our military are in the hands of a criminal, a fraud, and an old man with dementia (all of which the MSM completely ignores) you are either suicidal or very ignoramus.
