That is a good point.

Any of the women seeking the big $$$ could just self-identify as a male and try out for the men's team.
Women, in terms of their physicality ie strength, speed, stamina, and so on, are about on the level of barely pubescent boys.

As far as I'm aware, there are no rules preventing women from competing on men's sports teams- it's just that none of them are good enough to do so.

For the record, playing ability vs. men is not important as this is sports entertainment afterall.

Women's tennis pay is much closer to mens because of the TV revenues being much closer and people like it despite how the men would dominate women's tennis just like soccer.

So, the fact that the US womens team would get beat by the men easily is moot with regards to pay just as it's moot that the womens team might win the world cup and the mens not even get close.

What matters is revenue, all of the revenue. Not hat sales, not concessions, not ticket sales but total revenues.

Again, this may have just been a PR payoff and they may not be actually getting equal pay.

That is up to FIFA, this is just US soccer. But since you mention it how much revenue was the US mens team responsible in World Cup play, when they got eliminated a few years ago did it effect ratings.

The WNBA is a product of NBA charity. They are legitimately propped up by the excess money overflowing from the NBA.

Guess the U15 boys should get paid as much as the Women's team, as they are better

For anyone in sales, take note.

You don't have to generate as much money as the top seller, just sue your employer to get that extra $100K a year.
