Per the bolded --- That's why it's not my home. I would never choose to live in a nation's capitol given the fact that such a place attracts protests both large and small. There's nothing "lame" about it. Perhaps many Ottawa residents are now considering moving elsewhere as it may have dawned on them that this large protest probably won't be the last one to happen there.
This. If you don't like noise and it bothers you that much, maybe move to the suburbs.
It's like people who buy a house 3 miles right under a busy flight path to a major airport and complain about airplane noise. Well.....you know airplanes land in and take off from airports, right? That's the whole purpose of an airport?
have the poor people who had thier lives ruined gotten their lives back?
I mean they have frozen all financials for all Canadians who gave ANYTHING to the Truckers.
you litterally have families losing their jobs, access to their money, everything frozen.
I thought that this is being rolled back now except for just a few people. (?)
And, btw, I completely support the truckers in their protest against the vaccine mandates, although I selfishly am now very glad that I did not donate any money to them or put my name on any kind of a "list".

That's not remotely true. :rolleyes
Please don't tell me you're going to try to pull on us the story of the poor single mom who had her account frozen because she gave $50 to the convoy...

HA! My childhood home was built before the airport. With that said, it wasn't the noise that was bothersome. It was the grease on the cars and in the pool that was alarming. Had no choice but to sell and it the whole block was sold to a businessman that turned it from residential to commercial.
I apologize for bumping this thread but there's currently an emergency commission about the Emergency Act and to a latter extent, the Freedom Convoy and I wonder if all this inquiry might have stressed this guy on that clip?

Most people complaining about airport noise moved there after the airport.
