Ukraine fields the Neptune missile system - very new, very modern. Better than the Harpoon system offered by the UK. You do know that Ukraine used to build a lot of high-tech weaponry for Russia, right?

ETA: Well, there goes another one, looks like.
Having the weapon is one thing, knowing where the ship will located and where to aim it is another. They were only able to pull this off due to Western intelligence, the same with all other military accomplishments. In the end I guess it doesn't matter since Russians have shifted to using submarines to launch the missiles. Good luck sinking one of those.

I guess the Ukrainian defenders will just concentrate on keeping Russian resupply ships from completing their missions then.

Well, someone was saying some nonsense about outdated Ukrainian equipment, so...

Intentional submarines, this time. And making Russia stop using an entire category of weapons platform matters quite a bit.

Indeed it does.

Day 72.

Looks like Russia has lost another warship. As Oscar Wilde would say, "To lose one warship is a misfortune. To lose two looks like carelessness."

P.S. Kyiv still stands.

In the midst of week 11 of a three-day war. and it looks to me like the Ukrainians have set the Russian military up for a beat down. They are sabotaging supply depots, hitting supply lines, and taking down Generals, one right after another.

The Russian can sure enough lob missiles, but don't appear capable of much else.

I know some are still optimistic that Putin will be able to pull this off, but I'm not sure where that optimism is coming from.

The left isn't inherently pacifistic. It is primarily anti-imperialist and anti-fascist. It was primarily leftists among westerners who went to Spain to fight Franco, so it is consistent for a leftist to oppose fascism in modern Russia. If a leftist opposed American imperialist intervention in Iraq, Panama, Nicaragua or Vietnam it is also consistent for us to oppose Russian imperialist intervention in Ukraine or Georgia. Self determination is an important principle and it is one the Russians are trying to deny Ukraine.

You mean, through "negotiations", like a win/lose situation, right?

OMG, sooo funny, thank you for making me laugh.

Only one word comes to mind: P R O P A G A N D A. And a desperate propaganda, for sure!

Continue posting the funny ones, like this.

Why didn't you continue with your post and ended it saying that that was exactly a reason of why Russia attached Ukraine: To make the US and the UK to rob already poor Europe to the point when it becomes even poorer than both Russia and Ukraine and starting starving to death!
