The overwhelming majority of the Russian population supports their army and Putin. I don't really believe any public opinion polling agencies, but according to their latest data, Putin's rating has increased from 60 to 71%. I cannot vouch for the veracity of this information. Basically, individual representatives of the so-called "bohemians", "secular parties" do not support, But such 0.1% of the total population of Russia.. They used to travel abroad, arrange shopping in Milan, attend "social events" in London.. And now they have all been blocked, so they are dissatisfied.

I would suggest you read about war in Chechnya. Insurrection was put down there and i am sure they can handle Ukraine insurrection as well.
Please....Chechnya....all 1.5 million of them....compared to Ukraine's 40 million plus. I suggest you research Russia's excursion into Afghanistan in 1980 to see what insurrections are capable of.

I realise that, but from an objective point of view, isn't it logical that in wartime, at least one in which the survival of a country is at stake, Zelensky's ratings wouldn't be surprising?
I find it interesting that Putin's didn't rise very much at all. Of course Russians don't have the survival of their country at stake.

Russia speaks same language as Ukraine, it's much easier to gather intel information. Also it's highly unlikely same type of insurrection that will happen in Ukraine as it happened in Afghanistan. If you think that war will happen for years to come, you're highly mistaken.
