Do people need a history lesson about America pokeing our nose into wars that are not ours? Hasn't turned out well for us in the past.... WHat makes you think it will now????
Worked pretty well in 1941, when we declared war on a country who had never attacked The US.
The world was grateful.
So, no. I don't think we need a history lesson.
According to this article Ukraine will have about 900,000 troops taking into account veterans and volunteer defence forces with the other military forces...
Putin will be needing a lot more troops ..at least 500k or more...
If Ukraine gets the equipment they need. They really can draw this war out with the more body bags that are sent back to the Kremlin.
I've read the Russians have brought mobile crematoria to dispose of the evidence of their own casualties. Russian soldiers reported that the officers are going around killing their own wounded and disposing of their bodies by incinerating them.
Putin offers 'generous' compensation to the families of the fallen soldiers, but is also removing evidence of their demise in situ - instead of having the benefit of believing their sons or husbands died for Russia, Putler will make their dead soldiers "deserters" to save the payout and besmirch their families too.

Russia always treated their own like that why do you think 25 million died in WW2 1/4 of them probalby shot by Russians themselves. The very reason why these countries never want to be under Putin's thumb why NATO exist today.

In 1941 we declared war on Japan, who indeed attacked us first. We never declared war on Germany first, the Germans did. So you need a history lesson indeed.
Should put in a no fly zone to get the innocents out. Children are now running for their lives with bombs and gun shots. Putin is not to be trusted. I would state I am putting in a no fly zone so the women and children could get out of their bunkers and homes and leave safely. Since Putin did not honor the cease fire.
1. Thats not how no fly zones work. A no fly zone is effectively a declaration of war, regardless of 'reasons'.
2. Ukraine already rejected Russian offer to create humanitarian corridors, since they will lead the people out to Russia or Belarus. So it is the Ukrainian army units in cities encircled by Russian forces that are preventing the civilians from fleeing. It makes sense, since more fighting that happens in cities full of civilians, Ukrainian government can use it for their propaganda purposes in the media. They actually do not want civilians to flee.

Your the one who needs a history lesson
Japan attacked US 12/7/41
US Declared war on Japan 12/8/1941
Germany Declared war on US 12/11/41
US Declared war on Germany & Italy 12/11/41

So why wouldn't you let the people decide, to see what they 'want'? If what you say is true, there is no reason to post Ukrainian military checkpoints to prevent their citizens from fleeing in the direction of Russia, is there? Over a million Ukrainians already fled to Russia since the fighting started in 2014, and they are not living in "concentration camps".

Million to Russia? You mean annexed by Russia. Putin passed a law if you use the word "War" get a 15 year prison sentence. What kind of freedom is that someone would want to flee to?
