It is astonishing that genuine humans living under self-determination in any nation would argue there are 2 sides to this war of aggression that is by manufactured cause. In other words, Putin's war on Ukraine is by a bogus pretext and being carried out by lies. And NATO, Europe and her many allies, including the USA, are trying to aid Ukraine and stop Putin's war from spreading across the globe. FULL STOP.

It seems quite a few people have been vulnerable to the Russian military and intelligence campaigns that spread disinformation and propaganda attempting to paint Ukraine and Ukrainian government officials as the aggressor in the Russia-Ukraine relationship. These entities were engaged in this leading up to Putin's invasion and unprovoked war, and certainly have amped up their mendacious measures that are intended to influence Western countries into believing Ukraine's behavior caused this global conflict, and obviously to convince Russian citizens of the need for Russian military action in Ukraine.

It appears the fog of war has pushed many people into the weeds and they have lost sight of what has just happened before the world's very eyes: In an address to Russian citizens from the Kremlin on February 24th, Russia's leader claimed the government in Kyiv had been seized by “extreme nationalists and neo-Nazis” and that he had sent in the Russian military to save innocent civilians from “genocide” and force the “denazification” of Ukraine.

Among other lies, Putin crafted that grotesque fantasy over decades. To his people he has cast himself as the great leader of a besieged nation, defending Russian citizens against foreign threats and in this case Ukrainian phantom fascism.

In that long winded declaration of war where he rewrote history, ranted about ancient grievances and peddled paranoid propaganda---the global crisis, in which we the world now find ourselves, is a time of uncomplicated clarity. A Russian villain has mounted an absolutely unprovoked and fully atrocious war of aggression against his neighbor Ukraine, with the intent of wiping that independent neighbor nation out of existence. Full Stop

Putin's Russia does not have the right to change the borders of the sovereign nation Ukraine by force; Putin's Russia does not have the right to dictate the policies and choices the democratically elected government of Ukraine makes---and that includes with whom or what alliances to join; Putin's Russia does not have the right to invade, combatively crush and occupy autonomous Ukraine. To argue and parse debate on any of these wrongdoings and to propagate the twisty Putinesque justification for the unjustifiable is aiding and abetting the criminal megalomaniac and his evil menace.

Spreading his lies sows doubt, and disseminating his disinformation seeds divisiveness. Putin's trademark move is to push Russian desirable narratives out to target audiences to cause dissension, chaos and destabilization. Social media is certainly seeing an escalation of this agitprop and it is widely noted that aficionados of Breitbart News and Fox's Tucker Carlson, and fans of the numerous other democracy disrupter pundits ---such as Steve Bannon & Laura Ingraham etc--- have been lured into promoting Putin nonsense.

IMO its way past time to stop undermining the tireless endeavors and efforts of the nations who are on the side of democracy---and their knowledgeable leaders and teams of supremely competent diplomatic, intelligence and military experts---and quit supporting the anti-democratic aims of Putin by propagating his poop.
Ukrainians are paying the butcher's price for all of us.

But because mean tweets was such a crisis, you opted for electing a braindead idiot, who also happens to be hopelessly corrupt and a spineless coward. You voted to doom Ukraine and Taiwan. Why the hell did you have to punish the rest of us with this imbecile???

I know that dealing with reality must be difficult for you. You probably imagined in your great optimism that Joe Biden was not a braindead idiot pedophile who would wreck the country. Your delusional mind is no doubt scrambling to believe that none of the nightmare scenarios of inflation, supply chain, gas prices, repressed freedoms, more than double the Covid death count under Biden, etc. aren't actually real. If they are real, then somehow they must be Orange Hitler's fault.

Inconvenient truths for you:
  • Russia didn't invade Ukraine or any other former Soviet province during Trump's presidency. He did invade, annex, threaten and bully plenty under Bush, Obama and Biden. The delusion that Trump is Putin's puppet is laughable, considering that Putin got jack squat out of the relationship.
  • Gas prices were low under Trump. Very low. About half the price we're paying now. Those gas prices didn't start skyrocketing until braindead Joe Biden took office and started screwing with the oil industry on a grand scale.
  • Supply shortages were barely a problem. Then Sleepy Joe became president and suddenly they're an insurmountable issue.
  • Joe Biden is the greatest enable of child and adult sex slave trafficking in human history, thanks to his "pretend the border isn't even there" policy.
  • Inflation wasn't an issue under Trump. It is under Biden.
  • The withdrawal of troops from Iraq wasn't a train wreck from start to finish, so we know that pulling out our troops can be done well. And yet, somehow Joe Biden f-cked that up so spectacularly it boggles the mind.
  • When Texas had it's Katrina moment last winter, Joe Biden was asleep at the wheel and people died because of it.
  • The USA looks sickly, weak and pathetic across the board. No wonder people like Putin ignore our braindead pedophile president.
.

There are so many ways that America is vastly worse under Joe Biden, and zero ways it's better. That's got nothing to do with living in an echo chamber. All I have to do is go shopping or fill up my gas tank. Idiots like you inflicted Joe Biden on the rest of us. You should at least have the decency to apologize for it. But I expect you've deluded yourself into believing that Biden is doing a wonderful job, everything is awesome and any little thing that goes wrong is automatically Trump's fault. That's religious cult level delusion right there.

Putin's story ~ Russians are freeing the Ukrainians from Nazis oppressing ethnic Russians who want to belong to Russia.

Zelensky's story ~ Courageous Ukrainians are fighting off a Russian invasion.

Day 12 of their "denazification" invasion, and Russia has launched over 600 missiles against military and civilian targets.

Zelensky still working from his office in Kyiv.

Not according to India news. Russia is winning and the US and NATO are just sitting back.

It's called freedom of speech, diversity of thought, and independent critical thinking. If you prefer a groupthink monolithic echo chamber to reinforce your personal biases, don't join a message board with 2.4 million posters.

No, sadly, this is not called "critical thinking," or "independent" either, as much of it echoes and/or supports Putin's propaganda.

That said, I do appreciate you and others like you posting on this forum. Have noticed that a lot of the regulars have disappeared lately. Hope they are okay.

The reason I don't watch Western mainstream media ( not even sure what they are showing there in terms of videos,) is because it's nothing but propaganda lately - no different from the Russian one.

They show only part of the story, when I am aware of the WHOLE picture.

I've been watching Ukraine closely for the last eight years, so good enough for me.
The Western Media doesn’t jail people for reporting, all the independent news agencies have left Russia so would love to hear where you get your information other than RT.

Anyway, back to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

There is speculation that Putin may have been misinformed about the capabilities of the Russian military, that much of the money he may have believed was being invested in modernizing the military was actually spent on yachts, London apartments, and Trump properties.

That's no different than claiming more US/NATO support makes you a pro WW3 warmonger.

Resorting to name-calling means you've already lost the argument.
