Occam’s Razor geopolitical explanation would indicate Putin just reached a point where enough was enough. Taking all of Ukraine away from U.S. control puts a stop to our using the Russian border state for our own interests.

I am ok if there are thorns in the side of Putin. Id like to see more. Id like to see more in Xis side. But this is THEIR problem - brought on by Clinton (bill, not the antichrist), Obama and now Biden - yes, but still their problem. But there is every indication this is about to become OUR problem. TODAY. at present our daily is 8.4 - up substantially from last year which you are looking at, but we shuttered domestic production again, ergo, imports had to increase.
its also actually 595000 and I rounded up to 600000 due to our commitment to buy more.
