They may well be putting up a good fight, but how many Russian tanks do you think there are for every one Ukrainian tank? It's all about numbers. Putin may be evil, but he's not stupid. He didn't go in until he knew he had a 100% chance of claiming victory.
stats I read was Ukraine has about 2500 tanks in its arsenal and Russia has over 20k ... However, I do not believe Russia will send that many tanks.
The only way I see a fight being put up is to have the capital defended well and kept a west Flank open. Russians are coming from every direction and once the capital is surrounded, they will have to fight till the end .
I believe this may last a little longer than they think though. There has not been a modern war like this in quite some time, so who knows what can happen.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight . . . it's the size of the fight in the dog.
I can see an invaded country putting up one hell of a fight, out of passion, where the passion on the part of Russian military wouldn't be there so much.
They need anti-tank missiles, SAMs, a few obsolete warthogs and a few German leopard tanks.
All we need to do is send 20-30 reapers drones to them.. have non US soldiers pilot them and boom air superiority is back at hand. The reapers are $10 Mill a piece so relatively cheap hardware to send.

Not militarily, though. It's pretty much over in that regard. May take a bit of time, but it's way too lopsided militarily. Now... if you are talking guerilla warfare... well, who knows. The Afghanis tired the USSR out after a time. Then the USSR decided it wasn't worth their time and money to continue. (of course, we didn't learn our lesson from that, did we? Nope, we got trounced even more embarrassingly)
Sounds like Russia's attack there was botched all over and Ukraine is fighting heroically.
My assumption is that is psyops propaganda on the ukraine side to keep people motivated and keep fighting. The vids I saw had the Russian tank column 25 km north of Kiev by sundown today. At that pace it's another day into the city to start taking down the leadership infrastructure.

That's right, because who wins the war is who lasts in the war of attrition.
You can rule over people with fear, but you can't rule over their hearts.
