Gotta admit, NATO is looking pretty good in a counterstrike position right now, should they choose it.
Ukraine has really softened up the Russian military, they are losing tons of equipment and troops in their failed invasion. Plus their troop readiness and moral are looking more like the Iraqi forces of the second gulf war than the former USSR.
Meanwhile, not a dent on a single US or NATO tank. Is NATO sitting back and letting Ukraine and the sanctions soften the enemy up as much as possible before a response? Seems like it could be.
I know someone will chime in “but but nukes!” Yeah, I know. It will be bad but it will be just a quicker ending for Russia if it comes to that. Plus, who knows if their equipment even works or if their military would follow orders to ensure mutual destruction. Big doubt there based on what we’ve seen.
I don't think you understand what nuclear war will do. It's not that it will be quicker ending of Russia, it will quicker ending of human society. If there is nuclear war aka WW3, it will be the end of human civilization as we have known it for probably long time and maybe forever. Russia alone have over 1,000 active nuclear weapons, if even a faction of that is launched, it will be game over for human society.

Yep. There are a lot of pro-Russian posters, if not outright Russian trolls and bots. We all know who they are and this thread and other Russia invasion of Ukraine topics have opened my eyes to how pervasive Russia is in here. Yet anything anti-Russian is somehow Marxist. Hah, Russia still is largely Marxist, more than the even minute US socialist ideas.
That is bad but is it any worse than bombing people in their homes even if they didn't have their hands up?
