In all that jibber-jabber, he said nothing about bioweapons or even an attributable source.

Looks like he is taking a page out the book of the U.S.A. Waiting for the "they used chemical weapons" line.

Kunstler is an old time Progressive BTW. And an environmentalist. He didn't even vote for the evil Orange Man.

This begins with an interesting graphical that shows the advance of NATO. https://rumble.com/vx058f-true-story...n-ukraine.html

He not only stated he thought the US and NATO were a waste of US money, he actually refused to pay the US' membership-fee debt to the UN, and said NATO was obsolete. More facts.
Once again you present your opinions as facts. President Trump demanded NATO pay it's obligated and agreed up $ share in which many of the members had not in the past. Yes he used the threat of non-payment which actually resulted in the NATO members increasing their financial support to agreed upon percentages, thus strengthening the Alliance. That is factual information that is readily available.

So, if you can stop echoing the cable news talking heads and rationally discuss the following points it would be helpful.

1. Speaking of NATO, compared to the original purpose, is it still relevant?
2. If still relevant, how are ALL NATO members supporting that goal?
3. What actions did President Obama take to "push back against Putin"?
4. Would you please explain how you know how "Russian leaderships thinks"? Not doubting you, but curious?
5. Are the current UE financial arrangements with Russia counter-productive to NATO?

Looking forward to your thoughts.

1. Speaking of NATO, compared to the original purpose, is it still relevant?

The original purpose was to create an alliance structure to combat military aggression by the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union hasn't existed for 30 years. Does it have a role today? Probably, as a European alliance. It's debatable as to whether the United States needs to be the NATO sugar daddy though. What national interest does the US have in European border squabbles? Anyone who's taken a freshman level course on the history of Western Civilization knows that Europeans have continued to fight over borders since centuries before Columbus set sail.

2. If still relevant, how are ALL NATO members supporting that goal?

Germans are notorious mooches. I would guess that the only NATO members who've consistently pulled their weight are Great Britain and maybe France.

Putin appears to think NATO is relevant. If NATO were irrelevant, Putin wouldn't worry about Ukraine being a member.
