Apparently the international hacking collective has declared war on Putin and apparently has already shut down RT the Russian state media.

Why hasn’t Putin been banned from Twitter yet?

Anonymous apparently came out of Canada's spy agency, CSIS

They better hope they don't get caught. Odo doesn't take kindly to opponents.

Probably the worst that will come of it will be a bunch of script kiddies running DOS attacks on Russian websites. It's a non-story honestly.

Putin doesn't like technology and has all his updates delivered to him to read, as he doesn't trust the internet.

Putin's Russia is also in the process of building their own separate internet.

Whilst Russia has become quite adept in terms of hacking and cyber warfare, so I doubt the threat of anonymous will both Putin.

In terms of RT, a number of countries have thought about banning it, including the UK however Russia will just respond by banning western countries broadcasting services in Russia.

As for an attack on RT, it would just lead Russia to try and attack western broadcasters, although any action would only be temporary.
