Kavanaugh had experience, Barrett is the outlier among all the current justices.
Unlike Judge Katanji Brown Jackson, neither Barrett, Kavanaugh, Roberts (or Rhenquist!) was ever a trial judge. Of course, Roberts was the trial judge for Trump, but that is different.
Everyone please don't think that the current senate hearings are about the fitness of Judge KBJ to sit on SCOTUS. What we will see is grandstanding by Republican senators (and some speechifying by Democrats), most of whom are angling for a chance to run for president. So Hawley, Cotton, Cruz et al. know she is well-qualified to be among the supremes.
What is going on is grandstanding by some senators who now have a nationwide audience.
Th judge has been through confirmation hearings already three or four times to be an appellate court judge. What do they think they are going to discover in her more than 500 written opinions?

The Biden Administration is giving the Constitution the finger by violating the Constitutional rights of everyone without black and female body parts not considered for the job. The Biden Administration should be sued for violating the civil rights of all not considered based on race and gender and this nominee rejected until a fair review of all applicants is performed without considering race and gender.
Republicans haven't done as much vitriol as Democrats give to Republican nominees which will serve them well next election cycle.
OK, so that means that Kavanaugh and Barrett were nominated based on their qualifications? Why is KBJ's nomination different? Biden had to pick someone and he picked her.

You're right, it's nothing new, and both parties do it and for some reason they don't know what a bunch of clowns they all look like to those who really are interested in hearing information about the candidate.
And if we could only bottle all that hot air and use it perhaps all our energy problems would be solved.

Did you have issue with ACB's religious leanings, was she fit for the court with that resume.
Explained over and over if you bothered to listen to the hearings, the judges are following the bipartisan guidelines passed by congress. If you don't like the sentences handed out contact your congressman. Cruz did his best to try and sell this, no idea why he needed to add in the percentages of reductions in sentences.
She doesn't support CRT, looks like the republicans are starting the 2022 election at this hearing.
Like I said... All it would take is a few former kiddie porn victims speaking out against her and no one will touch that nomination with a 10 foot pole.
She did in fact defend her known record of giving pedophiles light sentences, arguing that it's easier for them to procure large volumes through the internet vs. the effort required to obtain kiddie porn through the mail. As if that makes it any less wrong. Anyone with kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc., support this?

Please show how she "lacks" experience compared to any of the current justices, and be specific - it's just a picture so don't get freaked out that you may have to read anything.
While Jackson is very woke and was selected due to her race and gender she came across as much more professional and level headed in contrast with Hawley in this exchange, who came across as unhinged. Ted Cruz also came across as a total nutjob.
