You sure know how to ignore US blowing up small children (unless it's a Republican).

What else needed?

I don't know about a Nobel, but Biden's done a good job with the EU and NATO coordination. Getting all of the Europeans in line quickly is herding cats. Sweden and Germany dropping their pacifist neutrality to donate weapons is a historic shift. The US-NATO response has been rapid, appropriate and economically hard-hitting. Biden deserves more credit than he's getting.

Biden actually started this mess. It really is that simple.

There really wasn't much that Biden could do to make it appear he is tough and in charge without putting American troops on the ground except to apply sanctions. What is odd is that he has told us that Putin might not feel the sanctions for weeks or even months but that we are going to suffer today? Still it does seem like layering the sanctions on might have been the best strategy.

The State of the Union speech is coming up and no doubt the sanctions will be a big part of the speech that will get the Democrats off their seats and clapping wildly. The speech will be a short one because he really has nothing else positive to talk about. He might take a bow now that Covid is a much reduced threat but it is certainly not defeated. The sanctions might be Biden's crowning achievement after all those decades of being wrong. If they work the world will notice.

With all eyes on the Ukraine the world is watching and if the sanctions and pausing the SWIFT banking prove to be what stops Putin from his land grab does anyone else think that Biden could be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize?

I know it sounds crazy but Obama won it for his message of Hope without actually doing anything.

Biden could win it for preventing WW3... or at least that is how they will spin it if/when Putin pulls out.

Time magazine might make Biden the Man of the Year.

Of course it is all too early to predict the turnout but if Ukraine comes out on top I suspect that Zelenskyy could and should win the accolades not Biden but stranger things have happened.

Biden could win the Nobel Peace prize.

I dont mean to be a party pooper, but most EU govts are now going on record as shifting the blame to Biden for greenlighting the dang thing...more than 1 head of state play a dangerous game...why did he remove the sanctions, but dang we need the gas...

I don't know why everyone on C-D seems to have a case of Biden occupying their head, but whatever...

I mean the answer is yes, the people who show the best leadership in the potential run-up to WW3, or the people who help avert it, will likely be on magazines/top 10 lists etc.

Just the way it goes. And also completely irrelevant right now.

In reality, Biden hasn't done a damn thing to deserve any kind of award. Doling out some weak sanctions doesn't make him man of the year by a long shot. Did everyone suddenly forget about the ongoing U.S. border crisis, or his debacle in Afghanistan, or our out-of-control inflation, or the pandemic & his useless mandates? How about the price of gas, or groceries, or anything that is draining wallets faster than Biden can run to the toilet.

No, the only thing he deserves is a train ticket back to his Delaware basement. You don't win awards when your approval level is higher than your IQ. The liberal media might use the Ukraine issue to heap some praise on Biden because it's about the only thing he hasn't screwed up yet, and the only reason he hasn't screwed it up is because he hasn't done a damn thing of consequence.

But it is still early. Give it some time and he'll mess this up, too, just like everything else he's put his grimy bony fingers on.

Haha, no one is voting for Biden

With Biden, they just have to wave an ice cream cone under his nose.
