Again I did NOT find, I may have missed it, if you can find it please provide, anything stating new jobs over people just returning to their old jobs.
These are month-to-month figures. When they say "Private sector employment increased by" some figure, that means "Private sector employment increased by" some figure from the previous month. I thought that was obvious.

Some of these jobs are people undoubtedly returning to their old jobs, but some of them are also going to be people getting new jobs elsewhere after being let go of their jobs some while ago.

I'm a conservative and am happy to see positive job numbers, regardless of which party is presiding. The ADP numbers are the most believable numbers, as the reflect actual payroll numbers.

Anytime we can have more Americans working is a good thing.

But is it?

Since January 2021 the surge in demand for oil, goods, etc. has seen prices escalate as supply could not keep up with demand. Shouldn't we have seen a slow down by now. It's been a year of escalating prices.

So are you saying these are NEW jobs or just filling existing openings. Fact is, we currently have less people currently working now than we did pre pandemic.

Yes because many left the work force. Many took early retirement, or found they were able to live on one salary.

Could be with the inflation we see more people returning to the workforce to help cover costs.....

Hard to say.

950,000 Americans died of Covid. Many have long Covid and are unable to work.

Baby boomers are retiring in large numbers. Covid caused a lot of people to retire but even without Covid the wave of retirements of baby boomers was predicted for a long time.

Lots of job openings and one of the reasons is that the dead as well as the retired left the work force.

Oh my, look what we have here.

I have downloaded ADP's spreadsheet containing their data. It can be found here:
https://adpemploymentreport.com/2022...y_2022_02.xlsx
The totals are in column B.

Prior to the pandemic, the high point of payroll employment totals was Feb of 2020. In that month there were 128,253,047 private sector payroll employees.

As of this past month, we have now surpassed that number. In February 2022, ADP reported 128,548,387 private sector payroll employees.

So for those who claim ADP is the more accurate jobs report, we now have a new high in private sector payroll jobs, surpassing the pre-pandemic numbers.

Have a nice day.

Yes, I go by the BLS's numbers. ADP's numbers are an interesting sideshow, but not something I go by.

But a month ago there were many people here who said ADP was more accurate. So I am presenting ADP's information to them, since that's what they prefer.
