Holy FN Shi! - would you idiots stop bi!chin' about the technicalities of my OP!!!
I obviously meant that the sinking of a ship carrying war material was the impetus for the US to enter WWI!
OK now - everyone happy?!
Regardless - PUTIN WILL SHOOT DOWN/SINK/BOMB ANYTHING THAT IS CARRYING WEAPONS TO UKRAINE!!!
AND THIS WILL BE THE FUSE THAT STARTS WWIII!!!
Jees' Us FN Christ you people are dense!!!
You really seem so intimidated by Putin. Emphasized with lots of caps, underlined words, bold, etc. So far he is doing a poor job with this invasion thing. He seems like the "Wizard" whose curtain has revealed the truth. Yes he will eventually control Ukraine. But at what cost? Russia's economy is reeling. People protesting in the streets. His military is enough for Ukraine but has serious flaws.
He has to be stood up to. No other option. We cannot cower and hide from conflict with him. That will just embolden him. That is not an option.

Someone did an interesting write-up on a Russian SAM launcher that got stuck in a field, abandoned by its crew and torched by the locals. Essentially, its tires had all but disintegrated in the mud. That's small stuff, but it speaks to the sort of underlying issue that can sap an army: Maintenance and supply. If you're not making sure your multi-million-dollar SAM vehicle gets the best tires and is flawlessly maintained, what other sloppy practices are about to be uncovered? If you can't move your terrain vehicles off paved surfaces for fear of their tires falling apart, you've given up a huge proportion of fighting power then and there.
All but five other countries is the world have demanded that Russia leave Ukraine. Many are sending aid. It’s not big bad NATO. But the Ukrainians can simply go into the Western European countries and bring the weapons back. No need for NATO to go into Ukraine.

Well that is the good news. It appears that the majority of the Russian military vehicles: tanks, infantry fighting vehicles (IFV), and missile launchers are old, poorly maintained, and have almost no modern technology (GPS, night vision, target acquisition systems, etc). Apparently they had only enough fuel and food for three days, and now they are stuck!
Also the Russians are (currently) using conscripts and young, inexperienced soldiers, most of whom thought they were on exercises until the invasion order came, and they really don't want to be there. Many have just abandoned their vehicles and left on-foot.
And all the above is why the 40-mile long Russian convoy remains in place for 5 days, like sitting ducks. The US Army would never put it's convoy in such a vulnerable position.
Don't listen to news, instead check these videos made by Ukrainians at the front (one Ukrainian soldier even comments that the Russian equipment is "more s**t" than their own):
But as the Ukrainians are resupplied by other countries, especially NATO members I worry that the Russians will target the cargo vehicles which will escalate the conflict.
