National average gas price now at $4.07. We are 5 cent away from breaking the record.

And sometimes the "sacrifices" being asked are completely unnecessary BS.

We don't get enough of our oil from Russia to justify what's going on with gas prices right now.

It's all Chicken Little economics.

He has definitely become a bitter Liberal hypocrite. Back when I was on his FB page, he started a thread about housing and how anyone that was against changing zoning laws to allow multi family complexes to be built in single family zoned areas must hate poor people. All while he himself lives in a gated community in a multi million dollar home. That thread was the one that did it for me, I quite following him after that. The replies from the mindless zombies were unbelievable.

In my experience as an elected official that's true across the political spectrum: Investors who want to plop multi-family/ B and Bs/convenience stores/tattoo shops/strip joints down into the middle of neighborhoods that wouldn't be allowed where they themselves live. And they want hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars in tax/infrastructure concessions to do it.

I agree with you 100%. And I am what you would probably consider wealthy. The elites in DC have no understanding of what a 100% increase in the cost of gas does to a middle American family and quite frankly, don't seem to care. They push the green energy, which benefits China and the people at the top who get 10% for the Big Guy.
