It isn't our freedom that's at stake, but we pay for it one way or another.

I'm willing to sacrifice Joe Biden and the Democrats to stop this endless chain of bad decisions that work in everyone's favor but the United States.

Probably said already it's not just about the price of gas and driving but high fuel costs raise prices on shipped goods ie inflation. Celebrities can afford to take hardline stances like this most cannot. Notice how they say 'endure higher prices' rather then let's find a cheaper alternative ie more domestic production.

Great Attitude. Imagine if the Greatest Generation had the same attitude 80 years ago, you have today. You would be speaking russian or german.

Once the war comes to our shores, it is to late.

The Boomer Generation has literally destroyed the resilience of America. Me, Me, Me.

Then there’s Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Actually that was the predominant attitude in the US until around Noon on Dec. 7, 1941. No one was "sacrificing" for anyone in Europe, or China for that matter, as the Germans and Japanese rolled over pretty much everybody.

What was happening, however, was that US industry was gearing up to supply Lend-Lease armaments to the UK and, eventually, the USSR.

Until Dec. 9, 1941 no one even mentioned Germany in the reaction to Pearl Harbor. Hitler then made a mistake, he unilaterally declared war against the US while not demanding Japan do the same vis a vis the Soviet Union.

The "sacrifices" came after that.

Sorry, i don't see the boomer generation, at least the ones i know, anything like that. The boomers i know fought in Vietnam, and sacrificed years of their lives to support their families, and made sure they prepared for the future.
If anything the me, me, me generation started with the millenials.

In this case this also means sacrificing one's desired goals of little domestic oil production, exploration and/or extracting. It's also means accepting gas powered engines longer than one wishes to.
