That is actually an easy question to answer. Trump was doing thing that was benefiting Russia. If Trump won his 2nd term, he would have likely taken US out of NATO as such making NATO much more weaker. It possible would even resulted in collapse of NATO which is what Putin really wanted. Also if it was up to Trump, all sanctions on Russia would been gone as well.
That is what John Bolton said that Trump would of probably pulled us out of Nato in his second term. And that he whined about Sanctions against Russia.
In a stupid tweet Biden told Putin he will not Engage Russia over the Ukraine. Which is the correct stance but tweeting that out basically tells Putin go ahead we won't stop you.
Poor Moldova is prob next to be gobbled up by Putin.

With few exceptions, Congress has no interest in putting boots on the ground or invoking a NFZ. It’s not a secret.
It’s not a secret NATO declined to make Ukraine a NFZ, which would require NATO members to patrol the sky’s over Ukraine and take out Russia fighter jets.
If Biden and Nato want to stay out of the War maybe they shouldn't be sending weapons to the Ukraine?

From the beginning I was of the strong belief that we could support Ukraine with humanitarian aid, but that we should stay out of this war. The more this goes on the more I think maybe we SHOULD get involved. For example, go ahead and declare a no-fly zone. Send some bombers and obliterate that Russian convoy we hear so much about. What's Putin going to do about it?

If Trump would have tweeted that, Democrats would be all over him.
I'm doubtful though that Romania would stay on the sidelines if Moldova were to be invaded. And Romania is NATO.
