I dont agree with what Putin is doing, but he is definitely superior to Zelenskyy. Putin has been playing this game for decades on the global scene, on the other hand, Zelenskyy is fairly new to all this, he was probably expecting the US or EU to rush to his aid, (putin knew that would not happen)...

From what I see going on right now, I think this will be over within a weeks time. (Russia is currently surrounding the Ukraine capitol), how long do you think Zelenskyy can hold on?

CNN, msnbc et al use propaganada all the time to support the socialist agenda of which Biden is the face.

Per title question - he's neither.

He's an underboss who manages one of the world's sleaziest money laundering rackets, and like the ones who came before him, he played two real bosses against each other, trying to have it both ways. Then he got nervous, figured he could openly disrespect one of those bosses by sucking up to the other one.

Thing is, crime bosses don't work like that. Now all those money laundering racket employees he calls "Ukrainian citizens" are innocent casualties in what is essentially a gang war. I will grant that the NATO/EU bosses sexed him up all nice and sweet to woo him over to their side, but the boss in the East...he's connected with the Russian outfit, and those folks don't play.

He's not a hero or a zero. He's a small time grifter playing in a game that is way out of his league.

Did he as President, since 2019, ever try to appease Russia?

Time Magazine has its latest cover story and glorifies him as heroic.

The WION from India, and other Indian commentators, point out his weak position, and the NATO Russia context. Ukraine should have stayed non-aligned over aligning with the West, although I'm not sure what that means. Does that it mean it becomes subservient to Russia, even if the Ukrainian population is against it?

The mainstream news is covering the refugees, and depicting the fight of the Ukrainians and how they are wiling to fight even though the odds are heavily against them.

I suppose (as of now) the Western leaders like Biden do not want to encourage Zelensky to surrender, even if more Ukrainian civilians are killed. The longer the war happens, more civilians killed, the greater the case can be made against Putin/Russia.

Putin's demands don't seem that extensive (in my book). Ukraine has to commit to not join NATO or EU and the couple regions in eastern Ukraine basically go to Russia or are Russia-aligned.

However, the West doesn't want to give in to Putin. The problem is he a terrorist, pariah with nukes, what can the West do to control him.

If Putin unleashes bio-weapons on the Ukrainians, it's entirely a different game. If Putin bombs an inch into NATO territory, different game. Hopefully no WW3.

Also a Cold War with Russia will align Russia closer to China. Doesn't seem that great an outcome. Maybe the West should have conceded Putin have the two regions, but have him rebuild Ukraine, and long-term keep a closer eye on him until he dies, than have China benefit out of it.

You can say "selfish countries," but the reality is that it is smart not to provoke a Russia armed with hypersonic missiles that can carry nuclear warheads.

That's as heroic as you can get. That's 1980's Arnold Schwarzenegger tier heroic. That's John Rambo swagger.

When one has the respect of his enemy that they paint "Z" on all of their equipment... that is an epic hero.

I think he is very inexperienced as a leader, but makes up for that with being honest and loyal to Ukraine. I know for that fact that most Western leaders would be hiding in a bunker giving lame politician answers right now.
