Really not an issue. A very very small percentage of kids have same sex pattens. Best data I find says about .003%. Most homosexuals don’t want them. With that small of a percentage who cares? If there is a class day with parental involvement so be it. It certainly isn’t a valid argument to let the state and activists give sex education of any kind to young kids.
This is a key point that is always lost. Only about 115,000 same sex couples have children. That's it.
It's a very, very, VERY small population.
Yet people are convinced at least 50% of kids in school are being raised by same sex parents.
Isn't it? Isn't talking about same-sex parents instructing that homosexuality exists?
Again, not what this bill is about. And it's the job of the parents to explain to their kids why they have two mommies or two daddies, not the school's. Any teacher or any person who isn't the parent of those kids, who thinks it's OK to talk about sex, gender identity, and sexual preference, to ages 3 - 7, should never be allowed near a child. EVER.
These employees have the right, as private citizens, to share their views with their elected officials. Companies should stay out of it and focus on providing a good return on shareholder investment.
Pretty difficult for Companies to stay out of it...when Employees plan to walk out and put 'A Halt' to business...Don't you think???

I worked in LE against child porn etc. The point is to have teachers accessible for a child to have for any question or concern. They may be being abused at home or close people. Education is not indoctrination. The fear and conspiracies are insane. The classes are NOT even teaching this stuff in that level and the Gov is painting a very dark picture with out his crayons in your heads.
And who is most?? With the masks issue it was 30 families complained out of a 30,000 student body in Broward county. Shall we take a poll of parents with kids or grands in Fl schools ???

Why do you support teaching about sex to Kindergarteners? That's what this bill prevents. Passing this bill IS taking personal responsibility!

Another one who's missing the point! That's exactly what this bill is for! It's so it remains that way! This bill is designed to prevent these things from being taught from Pre-K - 3rd grade. Kids ages 3 - 7 are prohibited from learning this stuff! Why is that so hard to understand!
DeSantis wasn't "flaming anything." He was calling the media out for their lies and starting this whole "don't say gay" rumor. Congrats on being a textbook example of the end result of what happens when the media is successful with pushing their lies. Guess It depends on where you live. In my kids' classes in WV, there was at least one set of SS parents in their grade every year. All it takes is one such couple to spark a conversation about homosexuality. What that has to do with sex ed, I don't know though. Kids that age aren't aware their parents are having sex, but they know they are in love. Maybe it should be called "love education"?

Why are bills being created where a problem does not exist? It's not being taught. It's just another Governer's fake outrage bill to create a problem where none exists and then to pretend like he/she has solved it with a bill. But he's managed to convince a swath of people that he stamped out a boogeyman (that he fabricated). In that regard, he's a genius and voters are stupid.
