and I don't think he made the calculus that it would galvanize them at all. I think he sees them all as anti-war cowards who would shut up and thank him next month for his energy supply.

Usually, if nothing else presidents worry about their legacy. An incident like this would demand them to take an appropriate “presidential” response.

Biden however is so senile he doesn’t seem to care his legacy is in tatters as well as America’s position in the world.
