I’ve studied pretty in-depth what the conclusion of an all-out nuclear war consists of. You’re looking too much into it original poster. An all out nuclear exchange will last about 30 minutes. At the end of those 30 minutes? Life and the very little of it that will still exist on this planet will be forever changed. As Einstein stated, I don’t know how World War III will be fought but I can tell you exactly how world war four will be fought. “With sticks and stones“. 99% of all people on this earth will die. Only a handful will survive. In reality they could also die off overtime and all human existence be gone forever. Even those that might survive would have a very primitive and isolated existence.

Putin may be mentally Unstable, there’s even reports that he’s possibly suicidal. He’s also the most well protected human being on earth. Estimates are that he is literally 10 times more protected than even the President of the United States. The CIA has openly admitted that they would probably never be able to assassinate him. Putin is a scumbag tyrant, but his goal is not his own total annihilation. He wants a no-NATO buffer between him and NATO. He is explaining that goal to Ukraine and NATO as we speak. He has no designs on Poland, because why would he?
Do the walk-a-mile thing...be Putin for a minute. Put yourself in his shoes and ask what is a reasonable, achievable goal that ensures your future safety/security, keeps profit flowing into Mother Russia and your own bank account, seals your Eurasian Economic Alliance with India, China et al, and let's everyone get back to getting paid? Where does nuclear war fit into any of that?
NATO is letting him have Ukraine, and he doesn't really even want the country, he just doesn't want Ukraine in NATO. Zelensky accepting Putin's demands or Ukraine ousting Zelensky for someone who will achieves Putin's goals almost entirely. Half the countries in the world won't even take an official stance on Russia v Ukraine. So long as he keeps it all contained to that very local, very Eastern European thing, nobody will really do much beyond saber rattling.
But, if he went nuclear, now all of a sudden, he has united the entire world against him. Not even the bad guys would be cool to be part of that retribution. He'd be alone and he would have doomed his country and his people entirely. And for no tangible, realistic, even remotely legitimate reason whatsoever.
It makes no sense. Not from an Occam's Razor stand point, not from any standpoint really.

Why do you believe the fake narrative/news about President Trump the progressives publicized to defeat him ? He's not kind? Did you know he volunteered for 20 years to work for the Rainbow Coalition to find corporate jobs for minorities and was awarded for his work by Jesse Jackson? Did you know when he lived in NY every time a NYC policeman was killed he would call and ask if there was anything he could do? He has impeccable, well educated children and Ivanka said he always made time for them. Does this sound like a person who isn't kind or nurturing? He sacrificed his wonderful wealthy life, his family, etc. just to save the U.S. from what we are experiencing now, and we all know how disgusting the liberals treated him for putting America first.

Their reasoning for pushing the button, must always be that they're aware of the intention of their enemies are to strike them and first. But with today's technology, the moment a launch happens, NORAD would known in milliseconds.
