If anyone believes that will mean we don't have to work, they are wrong.

They'll give you the bare minimum to exist, but you'll still have to earn it, although you'll never own it. What is given can be taken away.

Well the poor already have nothing and depend on the government.
But if the government takes down the middle class who will be left to pay taxes to keep the machine going ?

You can bet they all hold stock in defense corporations and foreign oil.

Yes and according to the Debt Clock, defense spending is over $700 billion right now and continues to go up.
A few more months and it might surpass SS spending.

There are calls for a $1 trillion defense budget.

They hardly represent the party.
The House Progressive Caucus is anyone who votes for increased spending.

But it's not only the House that makes rules.

https://progressives.house.gov/about-the-cpc
The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) is made up of nearly 100 members. It is chaired by Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), alongside CPC Deputy Chair, Congresswoman Katie Porter (CA-45), and CPC Whip, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (MN-05).

Sorry, misread your post. I thought you were saying we have no alternate but to get off oil and gas.

"Equity" is the new 'in' thing

America has had it's turn. Now it's time for America to be cut to size so 'disadvantaged' countries, like China, can have their turn.

According to Dinesh D'Souza,

"America as we know it—wealthy, powerful, assertive—is not what Obama wants. He wants a smaller America, a poorer America, an America unable to exert its will, an America happy to be one power among many, an America in decline so that other nations might rise—all in the name of global fairness. To Obama, the hated "one percent" isn't just wealthy Americans; it is America itself. In Obama's view, America needs to be taken down a notch."

"Obama is not merely the presiding instrument of American decline, he is the architect of American decline. He wants America to be downsized. He wants Americans to consume less, and he would like to see our standard of living decline relative to that of other nations. He seeks a diminished footprint for America in the world. He detests America's traditional allies, like Britain and Israel, and seeks to weaken them; "

I don't see how this isn't a declaration of war against the American people - treason

Confiscate and ban all private jets and then we'll talk about carbon emissions. No special perks for the ruling class...they have to follow the rules they set for us.
