Because they will be ridiculed by the wokesters, cancelled, banned or whatever.

Overweight actresses that have lost weight are being ridiculed for losing weight.
They are now considered anti body positive people and sellouts.

You can't make this stuff up.

And women cheered this on.

Oh the irony,
And March is Women's Heritage Month.

The irony is excruciating.

Woke destroys everything.

What better way to celebrate by honoring a man that put on a dress.

With everything going on in the world and in America this seems trivial. But there is a whole page of women of the year. Not this one person. So the premise of this thread is a lie. I don't care what USA Today does. They are a private corporation and can put anyone they want as WOTY. It does not mean the sky is falling. Meanwhile the fate of western civilization is teetering.

{sigh). Yeah I'm pretty well past the scuppers with all the pandering to the boys will be girls club. Are any of these wokey tokey nitwits going to name a wannabe man as a special honoree? The girls will be boys are being excluded here. Thought this was all about inclusion? Acknowledgement. Affirmation. Not...feeling the love...here. Special shout out to the poster who said that it seems men are even better at being women than women are these days. Nailed it.

No, I don't actually believe that and I truly find women to be quite delightful overall. REAL women not surgically altered freaks playing dress up. Yet the latter keep giving real honest to God women the stinky end of the stick. In athletics, beauty contests, and all manner of things that have been the excluisive domain of actual women since time immemorial. All that struggle for recognition, equal rights and all only to be supplanted by men yet again. In the very area that seemed so unassailable. Being women.

Go figger..

Also worth noting that it was said more than once at founding that this constitutional republic only works when you have a moral and reasoned people. It seems nearly half the country now prays to the altar of woke, we have no future as a unified country with that critical mass of crazy
It wasn't up to them to define who's a man and who's a woman. People are who they are and should be able to live their lives in peace without judgement. They don't affect anyone else's lives at all so why do we care. The fact is, this is nothing new. Transgenders have existed since ancient times, just like gays

It's very distorted that USA Today would even consider acknowledging Levine as woman of the year, it's false and insulting to women.

Except for the locker room (especially re under 18) issue and the born men competing in women's sports issue I agree with you.......but those are two big issues.

For all those who wonder where feminist stand on this issue.

They fully support it and are not silent.
They are not cowering in the corner in a fetal position.
It is very clear, they fully and completely support trans Athletes and trans people.
Gloria Steinem in particular has been very vocal on this topic.

Not sure why you would think otherwise since this is all very public.
