I mean of course I don't support violence against women, but is it really going to be used responsibly and really help women?
I'm glad. He's doing the right thing. I'm happy at the things he's signed lately and what he promised he would do at the State of the Union.

Are not woman humans??????

Are not men and woman equal????

Why are theses niche laws created when all are humans and charges against them should be equally meted out based on the situation. Not based on genetics!!!!!!

Hit a woman, hit a man, hit a kid, all should carry the same penalty determined by the severity and situation.

No cutouts ! About time lawmakers figured out we are all human and need protection.

Women don't give men black eyes. Other men do.

The name of this bill is the "Violence Against Women Act" ...is the term "woman/women" still PC ? I mean, how dare he assume the gender of these individuals. Also, does this protect just biologically born females or will it extend to males that call themselves women ?

Shouldn't this bill be called the "Violence Against the Gender Fluid Act" ?

A British study found that the female partner is more often the one that initiates violence and that men almost never report it.

"Women and men batter each other about equally or women batter men more," he said. "Almost all studies found women were more likely to initiate violence and much more likely to inflict severe violence."

Who's complaining ? I see many questions though.

And who cares...the Trump, Conservative, GOP haters have been complaining and whining for over four years....now you know what it's like to be on the other side.

Does this bill cover just physical violence or does it also cover mental anguish and pain?

There have been hundreds if not thousands of young women across the country that have worked hard to achieve their goals in sports and academics only to have their dreams crushed when a transgendered boy enters their sport and beats them all. How many young women have been cut from teams or lost out on scholarships because a "boy" beat them in their high school sport?

That has to be soul crushing and it is so unfair to the young ladies.

Mental Health is just as important as Physical health. Bruises to the skin and broken bones will heal but a beat up psyche lingers and can be far more painful.
