No-fly zone by NATO? Sure, if you want nukes next. How ridiculous.
US profits mightily in times of war.

Biden's recently signed bill....$13 billion to Ukraine , about $780 billion to the Pentagon
And then, after that, giving Ukraine a few more hundred million.

War is a mightly profitable business .... for some.

All that equipment we left in Afghanistan....we have to replace
All that equipment we're shipping to Ukraine....we have to replace

It's not too late. When Iraq left its territory and crossed the border into Kuwait, was it too late then?... No, it wasn't. Bush #1 put a coalition together, ganged up and stuffed Hussein back into his own country.

And those were "brown people", weren't they? All these cowards who go around saying "it's just because the people in Ukraine are white", simply don't know much about history, do they?

America doesn't need NATO's permission to take action. If they want to join in that would be wonderful, but we don't need them. If they're too timid and want to sit on the sidelines, that's fine. We've got friends who will help.

Did Bill Clinton waffle when it came time to take action against an aggressive dictator in Serbia? ..... Nope. We were there and it was a darn good thing, too. Haven't heard a peep out of those areas in years.

This whole conflict is being caused by the lackluster potato head in The White House. He needs to stomp this thing into the mud before it gets out of control and Ukraine becomes a landlocked country without access to the Black Sea.

Russia obviously cannot even handle a small country of 44M people and some people believe they could start a war with the rest of the world?!
Some people even believe China and India (!) would come to Russia's defense. Ridiculous.

We could also not handle a small country of 38 million ( Afghanistan).
After 20 years we returned back with our tails tucked between our legs.

A. Ukraine didn’t think much of the Russians having troops at the border until the actual invasion.
B. Right wing media (Fox News, NewsMax, OANN) didn’t bother to report the build up either, as in their view nothing wrong for Russia to have its troops on its own border.

But I do notice most to all the Republican Senators take this position that you posted that Biden should have been more aggressive before the invasion. If Russia had bluffed, Biden would be derided by the right wing for being a war mongerer.

Say all you want in a demonstration. Things are different in actual combat. F-35 might be good on paper, but it hasn't been tested in real combat.

Interesting you would make that claim.
There had been no losses at all for months before the withdrawal. If we were there today, all would be peaceful.
Also, you want people to believe the US was invading a country and bombing civilians like Russia is doing. You are willing to sacrifice truth and common sense for the sake of making yourself feel good.
You are far, far removed from the truth and from what is happening in Ukraine.

Absolute, total, made-up-in-your basement nonsense!
Its first US combat mission was in 2019 in Iraq; in June, 2021 the UK used the F-35 in combat missions against ISIS.

Naysayers abound in this country. When the capitol was invaded in January, did ANY legislator rise to the occasion and confront them head on? No! They hid like frightened animals in special bunkers and later recounted how traumatized they were by the event.
If Ukrainians behaved like American legislators, I would be very happy to see them thrown under the bus. But they didn't. From the president on down to the ordinary citizen who just asked for a rifle, they stood and fought. They are fighting today, as our legislator debates issues like a lynching bill and daylight savings time, taking a break only to give Zelesnky a standing ovation. Then the legislators, their duty complete, sat back down to debate.

Off The Wall, repeated nonsense appears over and over in the various threads about the war. WW3! Not proven! Not our battle! World's Policeman! Illegal! Nuclear!
I'd hate to find myself being assaulted when one of those clowns was the only help available.

There are many places right here in The US where no one can fly without permission.
So what right do Russian aircraft have to enter Ukranian airspace without permission? They don't. They enter Ukranian airspace because Ukraine has no way to repel them.

It is cowardice on the part of NATO, The US and the world to allow Russia to do as they like simply because Russia threatens to launch a war - one that they would clearly lose!
All this talk of WW3 is pure nonsense. Russia has no allies. Call their bluff and put an end the Russian bullying, threats and war crimes.

You?
Wow you're wrong. I'll read through the thread a bit and see if others have pointed out the things I noticed before adding to that. But wow. You're wrong.

Maybe you can answer this. Why do people act like whatever happens now must be just like something in the past? This isn't a video game. This is the real world. Things vary over time and no two events play out the same - even things that are supposed to, such as theater performances and whatnot. If something like a play can't be reproduced exactly even when people are trying, why do you expect that something as complex as geopolitical tension will look like anything we've seen before?

It's just weird. If you can explain it, I'd love to understand. Thanks.
