The man works on a fishing boat. Mostly outside. Even when inside, there's lots of fresh air. Real science has never shown that masks are beneficial outside, where transmission is nearly unheard of.

Um, you can still catch Covid outside! What if you a person has Covid and the wind blows the virus onto your face?

I can't imagine having to live and work in a mask for an entire shift like so many have had to do for the past 2 years. Most of them have HATED it, as you probably would understand if you'd spent any time in their shoes.
I am so happy to see their faces again, I know most are more than ready.
