Compare this to changing the kid's gender. The left is all for that mutilation, but not cutting off a foreskin?
It's about consent.
If you say a child or their parents cannot consent to gender affirmation treatments, how can you say that circumcision in an infant is ever given consent? It's just genital mutilation. Just happens that we have conditioned ourselves to view it as normal.
You DO realize that this can be said in the vice-versa, right?
The right can't stand mutilation, yet is all for slashing off the foreskin? Hmmmm....
Because it is a minor procedure and caused no long lasting harm. Gender transition has caused harm in many people though. Because it's not possible to really change gender.
No memories, but it can cause much more than just pain...
"science shows that snipping a newborn child’s foreskin can cause permanent brain damage, particularly in the areas of the brain associated with reasoning, perception and emotions."

Do my posts point to "permanent brain damage, particularly in the areas of the brain associated with reasoning"? (If you're a Democrat, you can't answer this! )
It's much more traumatic to have that area messed with when you're older. An infant doesn't remember a thing! I'm quite glad I was an infant when mine was done!
There are sanitary reasons this practice continues... If the foreskin becomes infected enough, it has to be removed. Might as well "nip it in the bud" when the child cannot remember it occurring.
Just put it this way, only a leftist would argue that trimming the skin is equivalent to cutting the whole thing off
Or taking gender changing hormones, and purposely raising the child to be the gender that is the opposite of the one it was born as. How is this healthy?
I think people should be able to do whatever they want as long as they are not sucking off the government's welfare systems for life because of "mental illness" or other circumstances to be honest. My fear is these individuals suffer psychological issues and basically become parasites.
Government parasites are what will collapse western culture. Expecting to basically survive for 10-30 years without working, the government paying all your expenses because you have some psychological issue. This is totally counter to basic natural scientific laws. These genetically flawed individuals shouldn't even be breeding. They will pollute the genepool with inferior genetics. People on welfare for more than a certain amount of time should be sterilized, and there should be strict limits to paying people to do nothing.
I see circumcision more along the lines of piercing one's nose... a cosmetic alteration for cultural reasons. Much different than taking gender changing hormones and mixing up gender identity which in my opinion is going to cause long term problems.
DO NOT EVER have your wisdom teeth pulled FOR ANY REASON.
If you have to - root canal them, have them broken off at the gum, or surgically alter other impacted teeth. Ripping out the back roots from your jaw does extremely serious permanent damage to your head and nervous system

This is EXACTLY the truth, and I will never understand how people can see it as anything other than genital mutilation.
This world is strange.
