A new survey by the nationally-recognized polling firm of McLaughlin & Associates shows strong public support for the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms in the wake of Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

The Second Amendment Foundation commissioned survey said 66.1 percent of the respondents agreed with the statement posed by the McLaughlin poll stating, “When you see what is going on with Vladimir Putin and Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine, it is more important than ever for Americans to defend their 2nd Amendment Constitutional freedoms for law-abiding citizens to continue to have the right to own guns for their personal protection.” Only 25.7 percent disagree, and only 8.2 percent had no opinion. The survey may be read here.

It's about time American citizens wake up an realize just why the Founders wrote the 2nd Amendment

Maybe the people see the importance of being able to defend themselves, whether it be from a foreign invasion, their own government overstepping it's boundaries, or some thug looking to do them or others harm, but the (D) rulers sure don't feel that way!
Case in point: "We're sending assault weapons to rebels in Syria to confront a regime that doesn't represent them" Pres. Obama; and, "There is no reason why any American should own assault weapons" Pres. Obama

It's okay for others, just not us.

It all comes down to the question, can we trust our elected, and from what they have been showing us I would say no.

The Founding Fathers really knew what they were doing when they penned the Second Amendment despite having no way to foresee a political party that condones if not encourages violence and destruction on the streets. They had no way of seeing that our elected would be actively trying to dismantle this great country by allowing criminals to walk the streets and sap the Liberties and Freedoms of our society while also allowing the border to be opened to an invasion which is draining our resources.

We face more man made dangers today from our elected then the natural dangers that faced the settlers when America still had the wild frontier.

Exactly right!!

Having the 2nd Amendment is pointless...unless citizens are WILLING to exercise it!

(jumping thru all the govt hoops/infringements, in order to buy a firearm in the first place, proves that citizens are NOT willing to exercise this Constitutional right).Cmon people, think about it....'law enforcement' are the ones who do these background checks for firearm purchases!! LOL The reason for that should be crystal clear to everyone!
