The Insurrection was on November 3rd, 2020. January 6th, 2021 was a protest AGAINST the Insurrection.

Nothing more than a minor act of civil disobedience imo,

Watch some of the videos from that incident, there was never any intent to take on authority, I still get a laugh at the guy carrying the podium away, LOL

Besides that, this is America folks...if our Govt becomes tyrannical, citizens are REQUIRED to remove that govt from power, I dont think there is any disagreement that our govt has become tyrannical!

Here is something else to think about in relation to this topic...If you consider Jan 6th incident to be 'insurrection', I hope you realize the hows and whys of America BECOMING a nation in the first place? Im assuming then, if you oppose the Jan 6th incident, you also consider the American Revolution, to be domestic terrorism?

The closest anything in 2020-2021 came to an actual insurrection was the CHOP thing in Seattle. They declared an autonomous zone within another government's boundaries, enforced their borders with violence and/or the threat thereof, and made demands of the larger government under threat of further violence.

Everything else was basic riot/hooligan nonsense, including the Jan 6 "take selfies at Pelosi's desk" foolishness. Even Portland on AntiFa's worst day wasn't like the CHAZ/CHOP thing. That was as close to a legit insurrection as the US has seen since the 60s.

It was a protest that got out of control. Some people trespassed on public property, barely a violation. A small number of people damaged public property and stole low value goods, a misdemeanor.

If it was then there were multiple instances of left of center insurrections summer 2020.

I say not insurrection to all of them.

Riots yes and I would not use the word minor.
Jail for rioters yes.

We keeps hearing that Americans privately own over 80 MILLION firearms. I think if there were a true insurrection, some of these would have been brought to use.

That was one of my points when this first happened. Most of the people involved in 1/6 were probably gun owners. If they were actually looking to have an insurrection, there probably would have been some shots fired.

Calling it an insurrection is really a form of TDS.

THIS.

The fact that we are still talking about it and people fail to understand this point speaks volumes. The above statement is ALL you need to know. Period.
