No one can answer this for sure. All we can say with certainty is:
Under 4 years of Trump, Putin did not invade. But after the 1st year of Biden's administration, invaded.
Yup. Wonder if Trump asked them to delay. China did and they obliged.
But the history books will tell the story of the war-time president Biden, and probably relegate Trump to the joke president before the serious **** went down.
Not saying it is right, but it’s just the way history works.

I think history will be a lot kinder to Trump than present reality. As for this event and Biden's legacy, we first need to let it play out. As of now, it can go any number of ways.

You wonder? that's your evidence in a serious discussion of war? Did Trump also told Putin to invade Ukraine in 2014 under Obama and delay until 2022 under Biden? Maybe you should call Mueller.
Biden a war time President? for doing what? Doesn't the U.S. needs to be in a war to call him a war time President? W Bush was a war time President. He left the W.H. with very low approval numbers and a joke. LBJ was a war time president and his approval numbers were so low and he refused to run for re-election.

The pot calling the kettle black. Unlike you, I will back it up with facts and actual quotes made by Trump.
1) Trump when he took the oath of Office in 2017 made a commitment: That the United States would protect allies in the event that Article V is invoked. When he went NATO he told them:
“Twenty-three of the 28 member nations are still not paying what they should be paying and what they’re supposed to be paying for their defense,” “This is not fair to the people and taxpayers of the United States,” “And many of these nations owe massive amounts of money from past years and not paying in those past years.”
"When Germany makes a massive oil and gas deal with Russia,” “We’re supposed to be guarding against Russia and Germany goes out and pays billions and billions of dollars a year to Russia."“We’re protecting Germany, we’re protecting France, we’re protecting all of these countries. And then numerous of the countries go out and make a pipeline deal with Russia where they’re paying billions of dollars into the coffers of Russia.
“So we’re supposed to protect you against Russia and you pay billions of dollars to Russia and I think that’s very inappropriate"
HE is NOT breaking them up. He is calling out on their B.S. and corruption which NO President before Trump or Biden now had balls to say for the behalf of the American taxpayers.
He not only wants them to raise their defense spending but to NOT sign with Russia. He had the balls to call them out.
2) Obama and Biden refusing to aid Ukraine after Russia took Crimea in 2014: As for Mr. Obama, he should be remembered as the President who refused to sell lethal defensive weapons to Ukraine—even after Mr. Putin seized Crimea in 2014. He wouldn’t even sell Javelin antitank weapon.
The Biden administration has reached a deal with Germany that will allow the completion of a controversial Russian gas pipeline to Europe. Earlier this year, Biden waived sanctions against the German company constructing the pipeline and its top executives, drawing angry responses from members of Congress and disappointment from Ukraine and Poland. [7/2021]
4) It was Biden that voted and supported for 20 years the debacle of the Afghanistan war and it was Biden that withdrew in the worst possible way leaving out allies out in the wind and leaves our weapons and equipment to our enemies but that doesn't weaken us?
5) Let me get your thinking and joke. Obama and Biden for 8 years refused to give lethal weapons to Ukraine even after Russia invades Crimea. Trump gives lethal weapons to Ukraine in 2017 and 2019. Putin invades under Obama and now Biden but Trump is the puppet? LMAO!!!!
Now for Trump haters 2 + 2= 13.
The best for last to expose your joke: Under Obama's Reset Button foreign polic with Putin, which Obama called a "GREAT LEADER". This is from Obama's own W.H. link. https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov...set-fact-sheet
Energy Efficiency:
On June 24, our Presidents agreed to implement a multifaceted initiative to promote energy efficiency and the development of clean energy technologies under the Action Plan of the Bilateral Presidential Commission’s Energy Working Group. The centerpiece of this collaboration will be the development of a pilot smart grid project based on the most innovative technologies to cut losses in electric power systems and reduce emissions. Russian and U.S. cities will be matched to implement similar projects, and to share best practices and technical information. The Action Plan also includes implementing energy management and technical programs to improve energy efficiency in Russian and U.S. public sector buildings. The U.S. and Russia also agreed to develop financial mechanisms to help create investment incentives for small and medium sized private companies to promote energy efficiency and clean technologies.
^^^^^ That's the reason Obama/Biden for 8 years refused to give Ukraine lethal weapons even after Putin invaded Crimea in 2014 and Congress approved the weapons and Obama and Biden refused. That's why Obama said: "Ukraine is going to be vulnerable to military domination by Russia no matter what we do.” (his words, he threw the surrender flag to Putin and you keep defending him)
You are more confused than a cockroach without antennas.
Trumpinocchio has said many things....
"I said a long time ago that NATO had problems: Number one, it was obsolete, because it was designed many, many years ago."
"You know, we're dealing with NATO from the days of the Soviet Union, which no longer exists. We need to either transition into terror or we need something else."
"They want (us) to protect against Russia, and yet they pay billions of dollars to Russia, and we're the schmucks paying for the whole thing (NATO)."
"Germany owes vast sums of money to NATO, and the United States must be paid more for the powerful, and very expensive, defense it provides to Germany."
Asked if he would defend NATO ally Montenegro if attacked by Russia: “Why should my son go to Montenegro to defend it from attack?” Fox host Tucker Carlson asked. Trump responded: “I understand what you’re saying. I’ve asked the same question." "Montenegro is a tiny country with very strong people... They’re very aggressive people. They may get aggressive, and congratulations, you’re in world war III.”
You see, only a clueless idiot would believe anything this Orange Loon says in support of NATO. Even dumber to quote him like he has any integrity or honor. The pathological liar has told over 30,000 documented lies as POTUS.
Again, the "National Defense Authorization Act," was passed under Obama in November 2015, called for "lethal assistance such as anti-armor weapon systems, mortars, crew-served weapons and ammunition, grenade launchers and ammunition, and small arms and ammunition."
Again, The pipeline was a German-Russian project and Biden or any other POTUS had no real authority to prevent it from happening. That would only have angered the Germans and further alienated NATO and our European allies.
Again, it was Trump who signed the agreement with the Taliban guaranteeing the withdrawal of all US troops from Afghanistan. Trump who released thousands of Taliban terrorists from Afghan prisons. Trump then withdrew thousand of US soldiers and only left a small skeleton crew to protect Afghanistan.
