I will tell you why I don't watch women's basketball...the stupid errors they commit are so annoying and embarrassing and insulting I have to turn the channel. At time it seems they commit more turnovers then points.
They do seem to spend a lot of time on the floor scrambling for mishandled balls.
I only watch women's beach volleyball, so that balances it out.
With the attire they`re sporting, they don`t look any different than the men. If you`re talking about an informal pickup game, on the beach, that`s a different story.
Is it sexist to only watch men's basketball and not women's basketball?
I have a male coworker, who is a leftist, who has been pushing people the past week and a half or so to watch women's basketball. He has stated that the networks are sexist in how they place the games and the times of the games. I told him that a lot of that has to do with TV viewership, he said that TV viewership was sexist, because some of the women's players are better than the men's players.
The NBA has no rule on gender. A woman could play in the NBA, but none has due to skill and ability. Men's basketball simply has more skill and ability, which makes the games more exciting.
The best WNBA player still couldn't beat the worst NBA player. It just ain't happening!
We've all grown up watching men's sports. This has been ingrained in us. Yes, it is sexist because no one ever put women's sports in the forefront. If they were promoted as much as men's teams are then maybe more would be excited to watch them. People aren't sexist for watching men's sports when women's sports are barely shown one tv.

Men's sports weren't "put to the forfront" they earned it
The NBA almost folded in the 70s.and NBA finals games were shown on tape delay into the 80s
Almost nobody was watching.As a result the players barely made any money,flew commercial connecting flights to games etc.
As demand grew,they got prime air time slots ,sold more tickets etc
If women want the same air time money etc as men then earn it
Playing a lower quality brand of basketball in college and the WNBA (which is an absolute money bleeding joke)than high school boys basketball isn't going to get them there.
If these networks could get good ratings from the WNBA they would.Theyre laying billions of dollars for NBA rights for a reason
