Chicago hasn’t had a non-Democrat Mayor since 1931!
Florida’s large cities are run by Democrats.
Chicago's mayoral race has been non-partisan since the eighties.
The other shooting happened in the FL city of Clearwater which is not a big city and has a Republican mayor. I don't blame the shooting on him but the 'stand your ground' law can be traced right back to Republicans.
These are deep blue Democrat strongholds that have one party control, the Democrat Party. These are the areas the Left thinks are so much better than conservative red areas.
These areas also have the most restrictive gun laws but ironically have the highest gun violence while the conservative areas have the most relaxed gun laws have the least gun violence.
Maybe it has nothing to do with the guns but the type of people? Of course the Left would never acknowledge that.
I understand this is the Politics Board but it's also called Other Controversies. I came here to discuss this incident, it only took the first reply to see the usual bashing of Democrats that permeates every thread on this board.

Show me post of yours denouncing threads that bash Trump. I don’t think you were ever against too many of those. IIRC, you were more than happy to jump in and partake in those.

So non-partisan that the Democrats have a death grip on the city for countless decades.
So with that said obviously both men were wrong but the CTA guy was moving toward the other guy, that could be considered threatening. Not enough to justify pushing the guy down, and obviously he can't respond by shots to the back.
From the looks of them, their differences probably could have been better settled over a sack of white castles
