If anyone believes that people making under $400k a year won't bear the brunt of this budget, then you are fools.
Go ahead an tax the billionaires. Their total wealth as of last year was $4.8 trillion. The US Gov't spent $6.8T last year. He wants to raise taxes by $2.5T.

You do the math...
yep part of the plan deals with SS...he is planning on removing the cap, so people OVER 150k will have to pay into it for the amounts over 150k.... this also removes the cap on payouts (as the two caps are tied together), which means the richer people will get BIGGER SS checks.....which will kill SS
legislation also seeks to increase the Social Security taxes paid by higher-wage earners by reapplying payroll taxes for those earning $400,000 and up. Currently, those payroll taxes of 6.2% paid by both the employee and employer are applied only to wages up to $147,000 in 2022.
We're probably going to see some job losses with that budget.
Corp tax rate goes from 21% to 28%. Companies will have to make up that money somehow...less employees or offshore.
They will not just absorb it quietly and "pay up". You'd be a food to think otherwise.
And that $32 billion for "police" isn't really for cops..it's for "community intervention" programs.
And only $3 billion is going towards "saving the planet"
Who is the winner here....the Pentagon...our war machine.
$13 billion went to Ukraine..over $800 billion went to the Pentagon and the rest..welfare programs
And weirdly it's welfare programs that catch most of the ire from a conservative viewpoint. Both corporate parties love splashing money out on the Pentagon, and almost no one calls them out for it. Sick of it.
Congress will make two budgets, one for the Senate, one for the House, then smash them together at the very last minute like every year. President will sign it.

the reason that it catches the most ire, is that 3/4 of the budget goes to social safety net programs

that is correct... the POTUS ""suggestion"" is usually voted down..... even Obama's budgets were voted down...one year it was voted down (in the senate) 99-1
So Biden’s budget is about a trillion smaller. But that doesn’t fit the narrative, so it wasn’t reported.
