A guy down the street from us just had solar installed - it will be at least 5 years before "break even".

I don't have any issues, per say, with solar, but here in Florida, FPL is building massive solar farms. That is going to have more impact than one house at a time.

There's a guy on YouTube, Hoovie's Garage, who bought a 2013 Tesla Model S, last year. It had 97,000 miles on it and a cell in the battery failed. It was a few months after the battery warranty expired, and he was quoted $22,000 to replace it.

I'd worry much more about time, not miles, when it comes to batteries. The same is true for regular 12 volt batteries in cars.

I'm pro EV having paid my Chevy Volt off and enjoy nearly free charging off my solar panels. Best car I've ever owned.

BUT, I am totally against this EV Agenda that Brandon is pushing. This is not the way to go, our country is not ready for these cars and they are not affordable.

You can be assured though, this administration is not going back. EV's are coming if we like it or not. Prices of gas will continue to be high or higher. This is their plan.

Yep. Moronic elitist Democrats today tell a $50,000 per year family driving a used car to spend $50,000+ on a new EV so they can save $500 per year on gas.

nope the batteries will last about 7-8 years of heavy use...or 120k to 200k miles for lighter use, which could be as long as 15 years

Do you have evidence that the rest of my post is incorrect?

I think this administration is successfully creating resentment for EV's, in some people, by telling them they have to do something, rather than letting the free market to its thing.

My electric bill on my 2,000 sq ft home averages $125/mo. How long will it take me to get back a $50,000 investment in solar with power storage?

The math does not work for solar when you live in a red state with dirt cheap electricity costs.
