It's no secret that Trump is a braggart, even long before the presidency, even when he was pretending to be someone else to get his name in gossip columns.

But three reporters quantified Trump talking about covid, and crunched the numbers.

260,000 words, full of self-praise, from Trump on the virus
The New York Times analysed every word Trump spoke at his White House briefings and other presidential remarks on the virus — more than 260,000 words — from March 9, when the outbreak began leading to widespread disruptions in daily life, through mid-April. The transcripts show striking patterns and repetitions in the messages he has conveyed, revealing a display of presidential hubris and self-pity unlike anything historians say they have seen before. By far the most recurring utterances from Trump in the briefings are self-congratulations, roughly 600 of them, which are often predicated on exaggerations and falsehoods.

Would you like an accounting of all the outlandish things your Oatmeal filled puppet has uttered? Corn Pop? 18 Wheeler Captain? To name but a few.

I'd rather have a braggart as President that can actually back it up with his actions than a lying imbecile that is flaccid, ineffectual and dangerous to the entire world.

PS: ORANGE Man Bad!!

So true, and SO IRONIC! Trump's constant mantra was that his successes were "like nobody has ever seen before", "this has never been seen before". And mirroring that, hubris and self-pity unlike historians say they've never seen before.

Mirror images of reality.

Haha. Yeah, Trump, stuff we've never seen before.

I feel sorry for the kids in the pool that were tricked into rubbing his hairy legs... And god only knows what else...

Ironically Trump also said this today:

Quote:
“I won’t tell you who won because I am a very modest individual, and you will then say I was bragging—and I don’t like people who brag!” he wrote.

Without your imaginary image of me with a Prius, a peace symbol, or Bernie stickers, maybe you'd have the intelligence to actually respond to my post? Maybe not, I guess.

About mirroring Trump saying "this has never been seen before" and the media arguing "this has never been seen before" in rebuttal.

Your turn.

^^^^^ Irrelevant whataboutisms.

Criticizing Trump for bragging doesn't require being a Biden voter, nor a Democrat.

Everything isn't 'Us vs. Them'.

No one should want either of them as President.

Your opinion ^^^

I'm told to believe 81 million Americans 'wanted' the Potato Marionette. There may be 18 of those folks here on this board still carrying water for his failed regime.

I did want President Trump re-elected as he was an effective and strong leader for the free world. Other factions had other 'ideas' and here we are with the formerly great United States circling the drain.

I'd gladly accept 4 more years of 'bragging' to have my safe and sound country back.

I kind of miss Trump's three ring circus and clown show myself.
