John Coleman has been dead for 5 years now. I don't think climate research was halted after his death. Interesting you're taking the word of a broadcaster over a climate scientist. If you read his bio, most of his career was spent bouncing from one TV station to another (♫ Got kind of tired packing and unpacking. Town to town and up and down the dial ♪♪)

He was tossed as CEO and President of The Weather Channel after one year.

Not exactly the resume of a serious scientist...

First off...$billion...sounds like a lot of money....it's spread out over years....for Miami Dade it's pocket change

second...there's no sea level rise acceleration anywhere in the entire state of Florida...including Miami
the rate of sea level has has been consistent for over 100 years....about 1 inch a decade...less than 1 foot a century
global warming has had no effect on the rate of sea level rise in the entire state

so when they scream "worse"...yeah 1 inch worse every 10 years

Miami was founded in 1896...so it's gotten a little over a foot worse

Miami sea level :

When I lived in So Fla, it clearly flooded less in the 80’s and 90’s than it does now.

Have you even lived in the area?

All manufacturing should be pulled from China until they address climate change in a serious manner. I don’t care that it curtails their time in the sun.

It wouldn't matter if that guest dropped a ton of documents and scientific data to prove that the man-made global warming crisis was a hoax. People like Mr Potato head at CNN are invested in the hoax, and the hoax must never be allowed to end.

Sea levels have been rising since the last ice-age, and there is nothing we can do to stop it. In the 1990s the same hoaxers were telling us that man-made global warming was going to cause the Maldives to be under water in thirty years, of course they aren't. Today they say that the islands of the Maldives will be under water in thirty years. Sound familiar? And of course, just like in 1990, a fresh crop of young people have been frightened into believing it.

30 Years Ago Officials Predicted The Maldives Would Be Swallowed By The Sea. It Didn’t Happen

I dont understand what the purpose is of tricking people into believing climate change is a huge disaster? How do they benefit if more people believe the lie? Look on any expressway today, there are MANY MANY more tractor trailers on the roads today, business, shipping of all kinds has increased drastically over the years...and they are trying to make people believe they are concerned about climate change? LOL Cmon folks.

If this was a true concern, they would impose very strict regulations on how many trucks can be on the road, and/or limit how much fuel they can purchase.
