My wife just came back from Florida and said you can't believe how cheap food is there.
I was thinking the same thing since those prices are way off for what they are in the Metro Seattle/Tacoma area, AND, I’m comfortable to say most of the country.

The Governors actions will hurt us all.

Truckers in the area have also reportedly began to protest these enhanced inspections, which are part of his expansion of Operation Lone Star.

As the Commissioner of Agriculture and a Texan, I am calling on Gov. Abbott to immediately end enhanced inspections of commercial vehicles at the southern border," Miller said. "While I share the governor's goals and his frustration with Washington, D.C., and the Biden Administration, we cannot cut off our nose to spite our face."

Those are Chicago area prices. Food is cheap here. Likely due to our central location and very competitive grocery market.

There's no excuse. Fresh, healthy food is only more expensive if you're shopping at one of those yuppy "health food" stores. Shop at a regular grocery store, and learn to cook a little, and eating healthy is no more expensive than eating junk.
Yep, absolute BS. Fresh vegetables are some of the cheapest foodstuffs around.

I notice fish prices are soaring. Cod was $4/lb last year, it's $9 now. I use cod as an example as it is usually the least expensive fish besides tilapia and I refuse to eat that trash fish. Better species like salmon, mahi mahi, sole etc are also about double. Forget halibut or king/snow crab. You'd need to second mortgage your house for those.
