Edited after looking at other posts. So, did he text the photos to the student or share them via Social Media? People mention Facebook but I didn’t get that out of the original article.
It was the claim by the person, hence why I put it in " ", I even made fun of the excuse.

Seriously, WTH are you busting on me about this...you need to slow down and actually READ posts. ugh.

How about a "Hey, I'm a complete moron that doesn't read posts and then accuses people of defending pedophiles" comment?

P.S. It should be an infraction on this forum for misinterpreting someone so badly that you're essentially claiming they're defending pedophiles. Either they shouldn't be posting here are doing it on purpose.

I will say when my grand came to live with me after his mom abandoned him a few of his teachers were God sends in helping both of us cope and get through difficulties. They had his cell number as well as mine and vise versa.
I guess it’s not completely unheard of but I would doubt it in this case.

Is this is not total hypocrisy?

I'm also having trouble reconciling this thought process. I call it the {liberal} wobble board.

Say something -> people try to understand and apply it to situations generally speaking (balance on the wobble board mostly achieved)

Get caught not applying what was previously LOUDLY AND EMPHATICALLY said, repeatedly - to another situation and looking like a hypocrite = someone walks up behind you and slams their foot on the wobble board and down you go, thrown off balance and have to recenter yourself again

Constant wobbling means you can't grasp tenets, values, belief systems, thought processes...and can't pin anyone down to them. I guess that's the point.

I agree. I've mistakenly sent texts to individuals (same with emails) I didn't intend to. In this guy's case, though, I'm dubious. I'm more inclined to believe that this guy intentionally sent nudes to one of his students and the student's parents found out and cried foul.

There was a police officer in this nation for whom there is clear evidence that she meant to use her taser on a suspect when he was killed but mistakenly grabbed her gun instead, so she was both charged and convicted of murder. That she accidentally pulled the wrong trigger has not stopped her from facing serious consequences because the bottom line is a man was killed by her actions. Sometimes results are egregious enough that it limits the extent to which intent can be used as mitigation in determining the consequences.

If people want to argue his sending the pictures was an accident so he shouldn’t be sent to prison for 10+ years on kiddie porn charges, I am prepared to listen. But, when it comes to whether or not he should be fired, I don’t care if it was an accident that he sent naked pictures of himself to the kid, because the bottom line is one of his students ended up in possession of nude pictures of him as a direct result of his actions. That mistake alone is egregious enough to make him inappropriate to teach minors.

Oh, and I do seriously doubt it was an accident.
